Never Signed Up And Hard Work To Cancel
I wasn’t aware that I had signed up to anything I simply ordered a case of wine and started receiving others. It’s virtually impossible to cancel and they never answer emails It’s not even good wine I’m AMAZED that the Sunday Times allows its name to be associated with this.
I found exactly the same. You log into your account and it’s like they’ve deliberately made it impossible to cancel your subscription (which I never even applied for!)

Very Average And Hard Work To Cancel
Received a couple of cases, neither had any particularly inspiring wines and having just received a case that included 'Willy Willy' Shiraz (and accompanying childish description), felt it was not for me.
It is hard work to cancel the subscription, but that seems to be the situation with many businesses these days.
I would say that the telesales staff were very charming and helpful though.

Great Wine, Terrible Customer Service
Until recently i would have given Sunday Times Wine 5 out of 5. I was very happy with their wines and their customer service. However, when it goes wrong, it goes badly wrong and their attempts at resolution fall far short of good with poor communication. I called customer services last November as I was having a large party for my birthday. I spoke to a helpful representative and upgraded my order, being careful to cancel the scheduled order as I wanted a different selection for my party and I was assured this had all been done . This was delivered in error, I was billed for it and then had a nightmare trying to arrange for the wine to be collected. I lost confidence in Sunday Times as a provider of fine wines when 3 failed collections resulted in the wine being left out in sub zero temperatures and I realised that some poor customer was going to receive it. When I informed customer services it was clear that this wasn't an issue and this just stuck in my head. I wouldn't want wine which had been left out in below freezing temperatures . So i cancelled my scheduled Christmas order. I was therefore furious that they sent and delivered wine i didn't request or order......without an invoice and are now chasing me with debt collection, trying to claim that I haven't paid a due bill. The wine was delivered Christmas weekend without an invoice and without paperwork so i am going to have to try and identify it as I wasn't in and it got put away by my other half.....we were having a party and he presumed I had ordered it .
Once again I contacted customer services to let them know all of the above. The only response I have had is confirmation that Yodel are coming out to collect the box....which I don't have and i don't know which wines to return. I have asked STW to cancel my wine club membership. So my advice is....brilliant company till it goes wrong. Although the brilliant company bit was a little spoiled with the returns in November which were left outside for 3 days. None of this should have happened and customer services have dealt with it in a way which made it considerably worse. I have even had messages stating they are trying to contact me or have left me messages.....None of which is true. Am feeling very let down and very frustrated with it all. Unfortunately I can't recommend them and am trying to cancel.....but it isn't easy!

Good Wine Dreadful Delivery
Many good wines to choose from, however the delivery is very unreliable. Firstly, the carrier claimed to have delivered 2 cases of wine and left with a neighbour, it wasn't with ANY neighbour. Sunday Times Wine Club said they would sort it out. The following day only one case arrived therefore I refused this delivery. I phoned Sunday Times Wine Club again to complain but they were unhelpful. They stated it was a split delivery that was always going to arrive on 2 separate occasions. This was not explained before and took a conversation with a Club representative to clarify. I did get a phone call from a Wine Club supervisor who eventually sorted this out and gave me a £20 refund.
It could have been a lot simpler and much less hassle for me; a shame really because the wines are very good.

Wine's Ok But Impossible To Cancel
I got a telephone call from the sunday wines club and decided to get a crate of wine. The wine itself was fine, i had no problem with it. What I objected to was that 12 weeks later, i find 100 pounds had been removed from my bank. It just said "Sunday Time, Reading GB". I had to go through the bank to trace the source of this bill.
I then went onto the sunday times wine website, and it was REALLY difficult to find the order that they'd put through automatically. I looked for the cancel subscription button, but there was none. It literally does not exist. You have to email them or ring them.
I emailed them twice, asking them the cancel it, and pointed out that i didn't think it was cricket that they didn't make it clear when i sold wine over the phone that it was a recurring arrangement. Because it's not a direct debit and they have my bank details, i cannot cancel it the bank end. There's a special division of the bank that exclusively deals with difficult to cancel orders like this, I have to ring them up on Monday.
In the meantime I telephones to see i can cancel over the phone, but their "systems are down" and I should ring them back at the inconvenient time of monday while i am at work, so I am still no closer to cancelling this order and getting a refund.
If i'd have known that it was a recurring arrangement, I would never have agreed to it.
I had a very similar experience. I never signed up to anything and keep getting cases of very ordinary wine. They never answer emails so difficult to cancel. Very poor and I’m amazed that the Sunday times allows its name to be put to this

Overpriced Wine Terrible Service So Far. Cancelling, How?
Saw the offer, should have known better, "to good to be true" and it was. Wine cheap plonk bottled as premium quality wine. Definitely not worth anything like the quoted prices, at the offer price as a new customer makes reasonable cooking wine, just don't try drinking it with a meal it will ruin your evening.
They say you can cancel at anytime, but there is nowhere on the website to do so (that I can find. Have written to them online explaining wish to cancel etc. and as I now have come to expect no reply.
I am now writing to the Sunday Times pointing out the terrible value, the problems and that perhaps they should review endorsing this wine club in their name. It appears to be run by a discount importer.
I totally agree,
Poor quality wine!
I ordered the big red!
What a disappointment cheap plonk!

Much Better Than The Rest!
I've loved every bottle I've tried and the service and delivery is excellent.....can't rate this company highly enough!
No Notification And Hard To Cancel, Keep Away
Offered a good discount to join, advised that I would receive email notification of upcoming proposals, giving me the right to accept or cancel. No notification was provided, when a call was received to upsell to me, I asked to cancel and was cut off. No option to cancel on the website, so have to go through a call centre. Friendly enough, just feel the difficulties they create to cancel do not reflect good business practice

Cheap For A Reason
These wines you can tell are cheap they leave awful taste in your mouth, i have a wine cellar with lots of red wines and thought this would be a good way to replenish them for a lower cost. You can tell they are using extremely cheap wines especially when you lo some of them up and find they can be bought for under £2 a bottle. Such a rip off. I will stick to spending extra to have a good quality wine or wait for my friend to send them from his vineyard once aged.
Don't bother if you like a good wine, I suppose these would be ok for people who do not have a matured pallet to red wines. I cannot comment on the white as I cancelled my membership. never again
alas we all have a choice and you seem to be judgeing it all on one lot of wine what a shame. l find the wine tops and the choice of wines are large. my advice to you is keep your comments to youself and accept others have a choice.

Q&A
Has anybody ordered the mystery case that may contain a expensive bottle and actually had an expensive bottle in the case?
Could you suggest some red and white wine which I can store between 5-10 years?
