Evergreen Easy Spreader

Bought this equipment when my Scotts drop spreader fell apart due to a rusted axle. What a mistake! Despite using it carefully and attempting to shut off the flow at the end of each run, it dumped lines of 4 in 1 which left me with large patches of scorched grass despite vigorous brushing and watering immediately afterwards. Any spreader that does not allow the user to completely shut off the flow when required is bound to do the same. Product should be removed from sales. Total waste of £22. Will have to now buy a drop spreader with proper flow control.

Utter rubbish - DO NOT BUY !

Used the easy spreader a couple of days ago marked out my lawn with string so as not to go over any area's twice. Lawn has been badly damaged with black lines of scorched grass. Rain fell after application but not heavily. I think it would be better to just say water the grass after application don't rely on rainfall. Looking at the lines the granules clearly passed through too quickly at the start, but as the spreader emptied it left just the larger granules behind which did not pass through evenly with some holes blocked. So ended up with some lawn scorched and overfed and some either underfed or completely missed. Also if the product was a different colour instead of brown it would be easier to see if it is going on to thickly or unevenly. Had no problems with it falling apart but if it had I could have taken it back.

Used it once and no granules came out from the spreader except at the sides.

B and Q should withdraw this item and refund customers.

The product is hopeless and I shall use as a wheelbarrow and spread the granules manually

A waste of money

Oh my god!! What a load of rubbish, do not buy this spreader. My lawn is full of stripes and dead patches. If I could give it -5 stars I would.

Absolute rubbish!Manufactured from flimsy material which makes it impossible to push around the grass. Wheel kept coming off. Hopeless!! Wish I could give it less than one star.

Apart from an Alfa Romeo, Evergreen Easy Spreader has to be the worse product that I have ever bought. It dumped loads of feed which subsequently killed the grass and finally fell to pieces at the end of the first session.

Absolutely worthless product. Evergreen weed/feed would not pass through the holes as intended. Instead, the feed tray filled to the brim and distributed the granules at the ends of the tray, meaning that I had tram-lines all up and down the lawn. Thinking that dampness in the grass had affected it, I tried again several weeks later on a dry sunny day after checking the grass was completely dry. Exactly the same result. I now expect to have another set of tram lines at right angles to the first set !! Evergreen Easy Spreader is the worst product I have ever bought. Totally ineffective product! It is going back to B&Q as soon as I can find the receipt. I should have read these reviews first !

I have had two new Evergreen Easy Spreader and each one just has not performed efficiently. It has no durability in its design and does not last for long. Will look at different makes and pay a little more to get a good reliable spreader.

'Does what is says on the tin'Common sense really if using a lightplastic, cheap spreader not to put a strain on it by over filling it, I did 100 sq m in each run, it wont take the full 300 sq m as it is simply too heavy!

Had a garden spreader for 15 years that worked well. This Evergreen Easy Spreader replacement ended up in the bin after one season.

I have been using evergreen spring and autumn feed for as long as I can remember.

Currently looking for a new spreader that can do a better job.
