The Marlboro Man Of Chainsaws
This is a fine saw for those less than professional loggers among us. With 8 wooded acres and wood heat I needed a real saw. This one was recommended by a logger friend and he was right, it's the right saw for me. It eats through wood with ease, is easy to handle, starts up one pull, is simple to maintain and seems likely to last years.
As a newcomer to saws and wood heat I went through several cheap saws on purpose...better to beat a cheap one than a good one as I figured out how to use a saw. And now I know why one would spend $500 rather than $130. I used several high end saws as I researched chainsaws. All were viable machines. But the 5005 fit all my needs best and so, today I own a 5105.
Screaming Fast!
I evolved from a Husky 51 to this Dolmar 5105. It's just amazing! It cuts so well!! Sturdy! well balanced, cuts mountain ash like it's softwood!!
I love it!!

Dolmar 5105
This is the nicest saw I have used yet very smooth very responsive after thoroughly reviewing six other manufacturers I landed at a dolmar dealer this saw has a great value for the dollar and its a pro line of saw I compared to stihl husky jonsered never used one or a solo or efco but the husky an stihl yes want to put the doubts out of your mind buy the dolmar they recently retuned this model new muffler an carb limiters to keep the famous 5100 held back to 13500 rpm but she stills runs like a bat out of he-- . I love mine and I will never look back more metal construction then competitors around the bar area mainly where they all take, abuse reliabilty is there and I was told by my dealer that they still hand build these 8 a day that leaves a german facility to me that says it all but the saw that makes it 10 years plus in a disposable society is this machine . I love mine an will never regret the purchase on my fine saw price is only a bonus as its cheaper then big house brands . You cant go wrong with this world class saw . But what would I know im just a contractor lol .

The Best Power To Weight Ratio Of Any Saw In It's
The best power to weight ratio of any saw in it's class. You pick up this saw and you think it's actually smaller than it is. But when you start cutting firewood or limbing tree's it comes alive. The antivibration system is very good. The saw revs up smoothly and starts well. Every bit as good a saw as the stihls and husqvarna's I have owned. Which were all pro grade saws. I have been building log homes for the last 14 years and used chainsaws every day.
