Watch Out For Catching Fire

This is the second chainsaw I have purchased and after 13 months it melted the petrol tank, repaired under warranty after much haggling. Now another year later the top heat shield falls out melting the casing, more haggling and eventually replaced under warranty. Another 14 months later the same problems the top heat shield falls out, the glue must be poor. again melted casing. Never buy another husqvarna. No chance of a warranty claim so will buy a chainsaw that is reliable. If you think that I'm making this up email me on steve at beechcroft6.plus.com

Can Not Fault It

I am a demolition contractor and have owned my Husqvarna 137 for nearly 7 years. I have used it on a regular basis to cut timber joists out of buildings and fell trees.Sometimes it has endured long periods of quite heavy use. It has started first time every time I have used it and the only repair I needed was to the chain brake about 2 years ago when it snapped. It is light and compact, has plenty of power and has proved to be 100% reliable. Its reliability did finally come into question about 6 months ago when it started cutting out after running for a few minutes. However a spark plug change solved the problem and had it running like a brand new beast again. During the time I have owned the 137 I bought a Husqvarna 235 for a back up. I have had nothing but problems with the 235 and ended up scrapping it due to repairs becoming uneconomical. The scrapped 235 has probably done less than 10% of the work than the 137.

Light Enough To Handle For Long Periods Without St

Light enough to handle for long periods without strain. Capable of trimming smaller branches and tackling much larger trunks than it really should. No serious problems over 5 years. It is important that the chain is kept taut enough, fully lubricated and the teeth sharpened regularly. Good price from discount outlet.

I Have Found The Oil Pump Lets My Husqvarna Down I

I have found the oil pump lets my husqvarna down in the 137 (and the 142). Husqvarna put out a modification to the pick up pipe, which improved things but still the pump will need to be repaired again and again.

The Husqvarna 137 Is A Saw That Is Capable Of Near

The Husqvarna 137 is a saw that is capable of nearly all types of work (up to and including medium tree felling). Runs well, handles like a dream and is a pleasure to use. If you want an all around saw, this is the best value saw you will find. Easily out performs Stihl every time.
