Will Not Run:burned Piston & Cyliner

After less than 10 hours will not run. Husky Dealer service says repair will cost as much as a new one....burned piston & cylinder. Used pre-mixed 50:1 as recommended. Never abused.

My Husky weed wacker pull start housing pulled completely off after no more than 4-5 home broke and hours use. Mount screws in aluminum engine housing broke and are too close to edges to repair...again according to certified Husky Dealer.

Never buy another Husky product and will tell my friends my stories.

12 Years And Still Going.

I bought my Husky 350 running an 18in bar 12 years ago and its still going strong. Its mainly used for cutting reclaimed Red Gum and Grey Box Railway Sleeper. I cut fire wood all year round with it for our wood stove and extra wood during Autumn and Winter for the Fire Heater and is never missed a beat, yes it does leak chain oil but I'm happy to live with that.

Good Product, Long Delivery Time...

This chainsaw is one of the most powerful tools I have used so far. However, I'm not happy with the time it took it to get to me. It made me lose a well paid job. Customer service said DHL lost the package and had to reship it.

Husqvarna 350 Muffler Coming Loose

I have had the Husqvqarna 350 from new since 2006. I became aware of the muffler problem from reviews. For five years it worked fine cutting ten tonnes of timber a year. When I used it to help out in a local forrest and did some serious 'bucking' the saw became very hot the bolts fell out. They are about 100mm long and expand when hot, become loose and the vibrations rattle them out. I tightened them when hot and that worked except that when the bolts cooled they pulled the threads. Eventually stripped the the threads. Bored out the head and inserted 5mm helicoil inserts and used the same bolts to secure the muffler with the addition of a support bracket with one leg chopped off that came from a slightly later model. The bracket supports the mass of the muffler and dampeneds the strain on the long bolts. A year later the saw is still going stong. Lots of power and great for snedding and cutting fire wood. I have not used it all day cross-cutting. Bought a 555 for that. I am very pleased with both saws.

The Husqarna 350 Chainsaw

I do not know what the people who write all the horror stories about the 350 muffler bolts that come lose have for justification of this complaint. It's never happened to me! Now any machine needs maintenance. I try to check my bolts after a hard days use. Might be that I'm lucky, I've never found them loose but have found a few others that were. I tighten them- it's no big deal! If all of the complainers can not take time to maintain their machines ; than all I can advise is to hire your work done. My 350 is a great saw! wouldn't trade it for the world. Cry about something important!

Maybe their mufflers have fallen off?? Even if they do maintain their saws

Husky Muffler Problem

Three times the muffler has fallen off the engine and of course I couldn't fine the bolts, so I brought it to the shop and the dealer said when that happens (the muffler comes off) the saw is...."garbage" !!! Boy, I thought I was buying a quality saw but instead I paid for a piece of s.......No more Huskavarna chainsaws for me. Indeed, customer service @ Huskavarna told me

they have had lots of problems with the 350 and it was on the "bulletin" for a long time....meaning it was a problem saw which they on longer manfacture !

Husqvarna 350 Chain Saw

Wish I had known about the muffler issue. Lost one bolt and the other one is frozen so I can't tighten it and can't take it out. Also, the plastic handle stripped on the metal brake lever. What a pain for what I thought was a premium saw.

This Saw Is Junk. Mine Scored The Cylinder For No

This saw is junk. Mine scored the cylinder for no apparent reason. I only cut 6 trees (at most). Limited use on my property. I had the correct oil/gas mix. I would warn others, after reading about similar problems with Husqvarna 350s.

I also have a 2004 husqvarna 350. It has very little use and it was reliable until now [2011].A dead pine tree fell in my yard and as I was cutting it up the saw quit running as it became very hot. I was using that type oil which is supposed to suit any gas-oil mixture requirements and had very good luck with all my 2 cycle engines. I opened the 350 and it had a broken ring. The cylinder wall had some scoring and also the piston had some scoring I sanded out most of the worse and installed a new standard ring as it hasn't been used much up till then. Now I have no compression and will be installing an oversize ring soon. It gets very hot here in Florida and maybe the reason for the problem of it getting so hot with constant cutting.

Junk junk junk. The Muffler keeps falling off. 2 dealers looked at it and still couldn't fix it. When I call Husky.....they politely told me too bad.
