Gazco Studio Fire

User Reviews
Very Poor Customer Service
Our Gazco Studio fire has always been difficult to light. It rarely lights first time and the batteries fail very quickly. Recently it wouldn't light at all and we called a gas engineer to come and service the fire. He said one of the parts needed replacing. When trying to order the part he discovered that it was obsolete and we were told that we would need a conversion kit. We have had the fire five years but only use it during the winter and then only in the evenings as we have central heating. Therefore it has not had much use. The conversion kit is just over £400 which had to be paid for up front and we will also have to pay for it to be fitted. I anticipate a bill of approx. £600 at the finish. I contacted customer services, who didn't come back to me after 2weeks of waiting. I rang them and they really couldn't care less. I have since emailed the CEO who hasn't replied either. The fire looks good and when it is working is brilliant. I feel really let down by having such an enormous bill so soon after purchase and the fact that no one is willing to discuss the matter makes me feel even more let down. It was after all an extremely expensive purchase. They take your money willingly but feel no responsibility afterwards.
