Spark Plug Problems .? I Think
The generator would not fire up . So I went on line and all suggestions pointed to plug so I followed it up and wow ! Now up and running . Fingers crossed. Not the most reliable of generators.

Keeps Blowing Lights
how can i tell if my automatic currant regulator is broken,i pluged a 38 watt light in and it did,nt work untill i reved it up the light came on ok and then blew. help;also is there a throtal cable or dose it rev accoring to load put upon it
I am not familiar with this particular generator. However, I can tell you this. Generator engines need to run at a constant set RPM. This is how they generate current. So you may hear a drop in engine RPM and then a "rev" as the engine recovers from the load the generator put on the engine. However generators WILL NOT increase rpm as the load is applied. So bottom line, the engine will need to run a set RPM to generate the correct voltage/hertz.
Just a side note: Inverter generators are NOT rpm dependent. They can adjust RPM based on the load.

My Wolf Gave Me Trouble. It Turned Out To Be More
My wolf gave me trouble. It turned out to be more than 1 fault.
I used old petrol and that seemed to kill it. bu it was a red hering.
I could not get it to run for more than a few seconds.
Cutting a long story short. I found the fault. A corroded conector in the 4 way block. under the fuel tank. cleaned and lubed now it works. The NGK spark plug is better than the one supplied. as called for in the manual BR5ES.
I think it is a good value tool and I run 1/2 my house on it in a power cut. Lights. small tv and central heating clock and pump. Magic pice of kit.

The Wolf Power 800 Is Good Starting. Inexpensive B
The Wolf Power 800 is good starting. Inexpensive base entry generator. Easy to carry In its first year of very light use the carb float retaining pin broke as did the automatic load (current) controlled throttle. The engine start/stop switch also fell apart. Many of the electrical connectors were loose prone to disconnecting through engine vibration. Poor quality manufacture in my opinion. Lumpy 2 stroke engine which misfired particulary under light loads.

The Wolf Power 800 Stand By Generator Seems To Run
The wolf power 800 stand by generator seems to run for ever on one tank of fuel, pretty quiet and can run large requesting appliances. I really like it despite the fact that it could do with slightly more power and perhaps it could also be a little bit more quiet.

Bought My Wolf 800 As Back Up In Case Of Domestic
Bought my Wolf 800 as back up in case of domestic power failure. On its arrival, I test started it, then just stored it in the garage. About 2 years later, I decided to use it whilst camping, but it wouldn't start. As I had failed to drain the petrol from the Carburettor and tank, the petrol had evaporated, leaving a residue which clogged the carb. The solution was to put some 2 stroke mixture into a small hand spraygun and give two squirts directly into the carb (having removed the air filter cover). I started immediately, but died after a few seconds. Repeating this process a few times cleared the petrol ways in the carb, and it now starts fine every time. Moral of the story, to stop the generator, do not switch off by way of the little ignition switch, but instead turn off the petrol and allow it to run the carb dry. This will stop any residue forming, and allow easy starting.

This Generator Was Bought In Case Of Emergency Due
This generator was bought in case of emergency due to domestic power cuts. On delivery I got it going to make sure it was ok, and foolishly then stored it in the garage, with petrol still in the tank and carburettor. About a couple of years later I decided to take it on a camping trip, but it would not start. The petrol had evaporated, and the oil residue clogged up the carb. (Yes I know, the book says drain out all the petrol out when laying it up, but who reads the book?) Having established the cause, to fix it I put a little 2 stroke mixture into a hand spray gun, removed the air cover and gave two squirts down the carb air intake. It fired up immediately, but died after a few seconds. Repeating this process a few times eventually cleared the carb, and it now works fine. Moral of the story:- do not stop by switching off the little electrical switch on the side. Instead turn off the petrol and let it run the carb. dry.

I Bought My Generator Last Year As A Back-up For C
I bought my generator last year as a back-up for caravanning. If my battery is failing in the van I will give it a few hours to Jazz up the battery a bit or run a TV. So far I have had no complaints about noise from other campers. I fired the Wolf Power 800 generator up and walked away, about 40 feet, and the noise is barely noticeable. I looked at a few cheaper makes of the same design, but the build quality was nowhere near as good, and you would need to be Popeye to get them started. Highly recommended.
