Very Cheap Quality Faded Colours

I bought £209 worth of bed covers from Dunelm. They are very very cheap quality and almost all faded colours on prints. I bought them from Dunelm website where they were shown as very very vibrant colours. I have opened a single flowery duvet cover that I loved the print but in reality you can't see anything. They look so cheap and low quality which I had never seen not even with ASDA, Woolworth, Argos, Poundland. I intend to return all of them now.

Low Priced But Not Worth The Money!

I wanted a low priced bedding set for my spare bed. A single duvet cover with pillow case and a fitted sheet would do nicely.

Went to Dunelm and came away with what I thought would do the job. It was a crimson red cotton fitted sheet and a set consisting of a duvet cover and pillow case.

The duvet cover was sort of blue with figurative sailing boats with black and white sails on one side and the other side was sort of blue stripes with white. The pillow case matched.

After ONE warm wash the poppers on the duvet cover fell out so I could not close it anymore. The red fitted sheet shrunk so much that with the best will in the world it would not go over my mattress.

All in all a complete waste of money and I feel so annoyed.Completely unfit for the purpose for which it was purchased. Unfortunately I did not keep my receipt....

Poor Value For Money

when ordering online be very careful, what looks like brilliant white, turned out to be a gold colour, how they can make that kind of mistake i really do not know. so the deep purple and white duvet set ordered was gold and deep purple, not nice at all. so you may be best going to the shop then at least you will see the correct colour.

after visiting the shop i found the linens (bedding ect to be very cheap material again nothing like the photos online, even my hubby noticed the poor quality of the duvets covers ect.

a pair of curtains i looked at had allegedly thermal linings, again the material was cheap and nasty ,the whole curtain felt like a heavy duty shower curtain.awful material.

i think it is a shame that they have such poor quality linens, as the fact you can buy everything to match is a good idea, but i wouldnt waste my hard earned cash on such sub standard materials.

another thing we looked at was the furniture which again on line looked very good quality for money , but once again was very dissapointed, the furniture was tacky and cheap looking, and looked to us as if you would only have to blow on it for it to collapse. , again good ideas but terrible quality.

on the plus side after all the negativity, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the home knick knacks ect i though were not bad value for money.

but i certainly would never buy any linens from there.

Firstly I Agree With Some People's Views That Dune

Firstly I agree with some people's views that Dunelm Mill does have a reasonable variety of goods under one roof.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE CHESTERFIELD STORE IS AT TIMES VERY OUT OF TOUCH - ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE ORDERING CURTAINS YOU MUST WAIT AND WAIT FOR THE LATTER PERID THEY QOUTE ---> THEY ARE UNWILLING TO TRACK (call the supplier let alone have the modern technology to track the Order Number on a database) AN ORDER UNTIL WELL PASSED THE INITIAL QOUTE PERIOD.

The Customer Service in the Chesterfield store has much scope to improve and recognise that the customer should not have to WAIT AND WAIT for something to arrive. Even the Duty Manager was so definding the company for NOT BEING ABLE TO TRACK AN ORDER and that customers should be patience and be willing to wait gracefully for an order to arrive.

According to a visit last weekend about an order that hasn't arrived and after speaking to two staff and then finally the Duty Manger, I heard three different time frames as to when this Vertical Blinds order might arrive. I was told not to challenge her staff, she said shouting, but if I spoke any quieter then I would be wispering and thus I can only conclude that the Dunelem Mill staff in Chesterfield do not feel that a waiting customer should challenge or express an oposing view point then there own in fear that the staff will view they are being challenge rather then heaven forbid offering a SERVICE.

The DUTY MANAGERS view that "I do not understand what your issue is" is very out of touch to say the least when you are waiting for an order and DUNELEM MILL are not even WILLING to chase up to see A DATE when the order will arrive. As the person said CUSTOMERS MUST BE WILLING TO WAIT. That is so rediculous of an attitude.

DUNELEM MILL ORDERING SYSTEMS are so out of touch in modern day companies that when they say 2-4 weeks they actually mean the later and then only will they feel that they should chase an order for CURTAINS IS "WHEN IT GETS TO 6-7 WEEKS" as the Duty Manager told me.

MOST OTHER CURTAIN PLACES CAN AT LEAST CHECK YOUR ORDER'S PROGRESS and not so defensive about their processes. Dunelm Mill in Chesterfield from my experience do not want challenging feedback to progress and move with the times.

IF YOU WANT SOMETHING RELATIVELY QUICKLY DO NOT GO TO DUNELEM MILL even though the prices are competitive.

I Had To Replace My Bedlinen When I Bought A Bigge

I had to replace my bedlinen when I bought a bigger bed and I went to Dunelm because they had a great range in the size I needed (superking) and their prices were pretty reasonable. I have since gone back and bought at least two sets of bedlinen from Dunelm for every bed in my house! The quality is just fabulous. Their premium range stuff is just fantastic and feels heavenly to lie in, yet is so easy to take care of, even though I bought it in white. I just bung it in the machine and then the tumble drier and forget about it. I don't even have to iron it (except for the Egyptian cotton sheets, which do need a quick iron, but that is unavoidable with Egyptian cotton).

I didn't bother getting the premium stuff for my son's room but their standard range is really good as well and washes and tumble dries like a dream and the colours and patterns haven't faded at all. In fact, all the bedlinen still looks and feels like new, yet most of it is two years old.

I absolutely recommend Dunelm bedlinen - buy it, you will be glad you did. It is not the cheapest bedlinen out there, but I think it is the best value for the quality you get. I have paid twice the price (and more) for so-called luxury bedlinen that isn't a patch on the Dunelm stuff. In fact, I wouldn't buy anything but Dunelm now!
