Fantastic Blinds And Fantastic Service

Fantastic experience, from the ease of making an appointment for the day after to measure and quote, to the price which was half all other people had quoted us, to text updates and fitting within two weeks - all with a friendly not pushy approach, but the best part are the fantastic blinds - both Venetian for our bay window and perfect fit for our patio doors - we love them! Thank you so much, cannot recommend more highly!

They Don't Care

We had some lovely Venetian blinds fitted around 5 years ago by Four Seasons. The sales staff and fitters were great; the price was great, and the blinds have lasted really well. No problems there.

We needed the blinds temporarily removed so plastering can be done around them, as part of a big house renovation. They would then need refitting. Naturally we turned to Four Seasons, as they had been so good before. All seemed well - they said it was no problem to do, and although the total cost of £210 to remove and refit was a little steep, given that it would take less than an hour each time, we went ahead as we felt we were in the hands of people we trusted.

It was all booked on the phone a few weeks before, and I received a confirmation email with our receipt for the payment, and the details of the work to be done. The date, time and name of fitter were arranged. All good, efficient and reassuring.

I took the arranged day off work (and as I work ad hoc I don't earn anything when I don't work). However, nobody arrived!

I rang the company to check what was happening and was hugely frustrated to discover that the appointment had not been booked into their diary. To their credit they did apologise and admit it was entirely their fault, but there the customer service ended. Human error happens; I've done it myself. It's how you deal with the situation from then on that counts.

Apparently none of the fitters working that day would be able to get to me as they were elsewhere. Why they could not be paid a bit extra to do an extra hour at the end of their contracted day, and therefore keep a customer happy, and keep the company a customer, I don't understand.

All that was offered to me was an appointment a few days later. They didn't seem to understand that I had specifically booked them for that day for a reason - i.e. it was the last day before the plasterer came that we could get the work done, and we wanted the blinds removed as late as possible to maintain our privacy. Booking us in after the plasterer has started won't work as he needs to plaster that area!

They remained adamant that they had no staff able to come, so I had to reluctantly book for the following week. I asked if we could have a goodwill discount, given my loss of earnings and wasted day, but this was refused - all I was offered was that I could completely cancel the work with a full refund! I need the work doing, not the money! Obviously I declined this.

I explained that I had taken the day off work, but felt that the apologies given were insincere and uncaring. No effort was made to resolve the situation.

We started to rebook for the next week and I was asked for all the details again! They had this information, as they had emailed a copy to me several weeks before when I had paid. This was really frustrating - for example, being asked how many blinds there were. This was all in our records. I advised them of this and the chap I spoke to became increasingly sarcastic and said he wouldn't ask me any more questions - rather than just looking at our records. Soon after this he actually put the phone down on me immediately after having made our rearranged visit.

He seemed unable to understand my frustration or apply any sort of reasonable solution. My husband and I have worked all our lives in completely customer-facing roles (as a nurse, and as a director of a small wholesale company) and would not have handled the situation with the initial indifference, and then the downright sarcasm and rudeness, that he did. We would really have put ourselves out to obtain a resolution for our customers that day, no matter what the slight cost in money or time to ourselves or our companies.

I came off the phone really upset with our treatment and spoke to my husband. We then agreed that although this would delay the work on our house, we would cancel Four Seasons and try to find somebody else who we felt more comfortable dealing with, as dealing with someone who puts the phone down and makes sarcastic comments is not confidence-inspiring.

I rang Four Seasons back and asked to cancel the new appointment, and for a refund. This was done with no fuss, but they did not seem to care that they had lost a customer. Due to our extensive renovations we would have had many more far higher-cost orders, which we were intending to make with them, for blinds for other windows and doors. I advised that I would be leaving poor reviews on the relevant sites. 'How nice of you; I'm sure you will' came the aggressive answer.

I have complained to Checkatrade and have written this review. I'm not after any compensation or resolution whatsoever as I don't need it; it's history now and chalked up to experience, but I'm writing purely to advise other readers. Personally I want nothing more to do with the company, and now when I look at my lovely blinds which have served me well for several years I can only think of the poor encounter I had today, and that's a shame.

If you want nice blinds fitted at a good price, please do go for it - they are a good company - but if anything goes wrong don't expect any sympathy, resolution or customer care. I was left feeling pretty bad, and out of pocket.

This is the first review I have ever written of a retailer, and my first on here. I have written well over a hundred Trip Advisor reviews on places, and also hundreds of reviews on products that my online supermarket sells. My reviews are overwhelmingly positive: I write simply as a hobby so that I can advise other people of excellent things, and bad things, and give them tips. Credit where credit is due.

I've done that here - I have found them good in the past, but today the experience was surprisingly uncaring and not good, which is such a shame. I won't be using this company again myself, but I hope they will improve their customer care as I am sure they have many other good staff, even if the one I encountered today didn't care about their reputation or my customer experience.

I Have Recently Dealt With Four Seasons In Epsom.

I have recently dealt with Four Seasons in Epsom. I wanted to use a business that is local to me and over the last 3 months or so I have bought Plantation Shutters for my lounge and wooden blinds for 2 other rooms. All 3 room windows are quite large, I was given good advice and I am delighted with the end result. From start to finish all staff, from original quote, to saleperson when I dropped into the shop and then Gary who fitted the blinds, have been professional, helpful and efficient. I would and already have, recommended them.

I Bought Wooden Plantation Shutters From This Comp

I bought wooden plantation shutters from this company and got a very good service. I had a few quotes and theirs was about the same as the others but as they had a local shop I went with them. All the people I dealt with were very good on their product knowledge as this is quite a complicated process. Delivery was on time and they even moved my phone point for me at no extra cost.

I Bought A Roman Blind From These People 2 Years A

I bought a Roman blind from these people 2 years ago but it has now shrunk a bit. I thought I would complain as it was quite expensive, I expected them to at best offer me a discount on a new one. I called them and they came round within a week and made me a new one free of charge, no argument. Amazing service.

Just Had 6 Roller Blinds Fitted By Four Seasons Bl

Just had 6 roller blinds fitted by four seasons blinds in Epsom. They were a real pleasure to deal with as although I thought their shop was a bit scruffy the staff were really knowledgeable and very helpful. Their surveyor who came to measure also knew his stuff and left me a quote with no pressure to buy at all. I went ahead a few days later and they installed on time and did an excellent job at a very good price. The guy who fitted was very careful and left no mess so would defiantly recommend them.
