The person I dealt with has just finished the installation today of our four dorma glazed windows with Plantation Shutters as well as the spare bedroom. The Shutters look simply AMAZING and the fit was millimetre accurate and perfect in every way. I would refer them to all my friends and neighbours for quality workmanship as well as a fair price and friendly service. Because of the shape of the windows I had a few other quotes but wasn't confident in other firms ability to manufacture and instal accurately but he assured me from the outset that this is his area of expertise and they would fit precisely - they certainly do ! I've just had my Box Bay window fitted yesterday and it looks really lovely. I had been online looking at a diy offer buy hubby wasn't confident of measuring and taking a risk on it fitting so we went ahead with this company and they have really done a great job.

I've just had my new shutters fitted today and am really pleased. A neighbour recommended these guys and they have done a lovely job with very high quality work at a competitive price as well as being very polite in the house and even bringing me a birthday card. Would definitely use again - many thanks.

We are very impressed both with the installation which is literally accurate to the millimetre as well as perfectly level and square in the frame along with all lines of the shutters matching perfectly with our upvc windows. The installer was prompt and courteous as well as being helpful in removing some old blinds and even patching up some holes from previous blinds so in general we are really happy with the work and would have no hesitation in telling our friends and family to use these guys. We had other quotes which in general were more expensive and one which was very slightly cheaper but now we have seen the quality of the work and the quality of the shutters the extra £80 from the cheaper quote is well worth it. I should have read the reviews before committing to this company. I too have paid 50% of the total cost - £900 - I paid on 29 October 2015 and have received no call, no date and no shutters. The guy who cam round, can now no longer be reached on his mobile phone - if anyone has any contact details that is not their main number then I would be most obliged if you can forward. Nightmare and I would steer clear

I was highly impressed with my new shutters which have just been fitted this week to my shaped bay window. I had wanted shutters for a while now but was unsure how they would look or work. The job is absolutely excellent and they actually look as if they are part of the original window so I would definitely recommend to others. The shutters are an expensive purchase so I'm pleased they fit so well and the room now not only looks complete but actually is quite a bit warmer which I was surprised and please about.

Really nice installation and quality products. The Windows we have are triangular and previously we have been advised off the hillarys rep that we couldn't have shutters fitted so we are impressed with the finished job and the attention to detail.

This company Plantation Shutters Direct are beyond bad I ordered and paid 50% deposit early July 2015 to a guy for window shutters which were promised to be fitted within 8 weeks! I'm still waiting,(End November 2015)! I cannot get any response from anyone at the company, they do not answer the phone they have an overspill service who are very nice and obviously very embarrassed with the calls they are receiving. I just want my money back now I cannot afford to loose that sort of money. The person who claimed to be the owner spoke to me in September and made promises and gave me such a sob story which I swallowed and gave him the benefit of the doubt - more fool me, I am a pensioner and these people are disgraceful. Dont touch them with a barge pole. I wish I had never paid a deposit and I should have got more information from them had I know they were dealing with a 3rd party through China I would have not bothered.

Ordered shutters 4th July from plantation shutters direct and was advised they would be ready in 8 weeks. It is now nearly five months and no shutters. After trying numerous times to get hold of anyone from this company I was first of all told they were due into the country on 9th November then another call to say they were due on 16th November. I have tried every day sometimes 10 times a day since Tuesday 17th November to get hold of anyone from this company without success. I have a mobile number of I assume one of the owners which just goes to ansaphone and their office number is just routed to their answering service. I have even tried email on their web site but that was returned unable to send. I have to say I was becoming rather suspicious of this company when I read some poor reviews about this company a couple of months' ago, which mysteriously seem to have disappeared!!

I will be reporting this company to trading standards and take legal action to obtain the return of my deposit, which was a considerable amount of money.

I would not under any circumstances recommend this company.
