I Love Mine

Been using my regal for 15 yrs or more, still not had to replace the gasket and cooks food in no time. If you learn the trick of giving the lid a little press down as it comes up to pressure then everything beds in nic LT and it works a treat.

Burns Food

This was very expensive and so hit and miss on the end result. I am not new to using a pressure cooker so really disappointed, I gave it a 2 star simply because if it does cook it right the fast is great.

I think the locking of the lid is great I had great expectations especially being advertised by a very famous chef

Aweome Product!! I Wish They Sold It In The Usa!!

I've used this pressure cooker for over 15 years and its wonderful! Makes all the other ones feel cheap and difficult to use. I know a lot of people say it sucks because it lets off too much steam but theres a trick to it... you have to press the lid down for a few seconds if it leaks, so the pressure cap closes and locks in place. Then it will take 5-12 minutes to cook whatever you want. And this pressure cooker is different in that it doesnt build up steam and then blow steam really loud like the others. Its quiet, and it does that by intermittently releasing steam rather than all at once. Its part of their engineering which I think rocks! Also if your circular lid seal is bad, you might want to replace it. I think people want it to work like the old pressure cookers, but its a little different (better in my opinion) and much easier to use. In 15 years I replaced the seal once and it cost me $20 or something like that.

Tefal Clipso A Pressure Cooker By Name Only

Useless from the day I bought it. It leaks steam everywhere and by the time it reaches the required pressure, the food is invariably already burnt. It simply won't seal and never has. I have a friend who has exactly the same model and hers doesn't work properly either. Do not buy this product - it is not a pressure cooker.

So Gutted I Bought This. Very Very Expensive And T

so gutted i bought this. very very expensive and the only good bit is that it comes also with a normal(ish) lid in addition so you can in fact treat it like a stock pot and use it that way. the pressure cooker leeks steam no end so it takes a good 25mins to steam swede! i could boil it in that time. its always leeked steam, i thought thats just how they work. its my first pressure cooker and other people who have the more old fashioned styled ones have since informed me its not meant to release any steam at all during cooking. i know exactly what i'm doing with it and read the meagre instructions, theres' nothing to it. very simple. just badly designed!!!!!!!!

i think as far as pressure cookers go, the old style are the best and the only way forward, these new styled ones are all the same and some are even £150! plus you can never really clean the lid properly as its not submersible. it just goes from bad to worse and i am gutted i didnt read the reviews before buying mine. had it years now, i use it as a pot and lid only! very poor styling!

I've got the same model, i.e. a Tefal Clipso Vitamins and while I would agree that the older models are more straight forward and the parts last longer, this nis my third stainless steel pressure cooker, I'm surprised that yours leaks steam. I've used mine severasl times a week for about three years and it is beginning to leak steam, but only I think because it has had so much use that the gasket is beginning to shrink.

However, a far greater problem is that one of the black "hub caps" (as Tefal call them)to the right of the lid handle has come adrift and when I rang Tefal today they would not sell me the part saying it's a safety part and they only sell such part to the trade, yet when asked who I should contact they stated that they do not have an authorised repairer. They suggested I contact Belstar in Birmingham although they pointed our that they do not supply Belstar with their spare parts as they are not authorised by Tefal, however Belsar apparently manage to get hold of Tefal parts from another source. I think it's a ridiculous situation for such a large company not to have an authorised servicer of one of their products, particularly regarding such an expensive, quality product.

I checked with Belstar, who were extemely efficient. They don't fit the parts but have them in stock. I've ordered a pair of hubs, although I'm not sure how I am going to get them fitted. Tefal stated that some people just buy a new pressure cooker, but that would seem such a waste. If I am forced to do this, I certainly won't buy another one of this design. [email protected]

Right From The Beginning A Pain In The Neck. Takes

Right from the beginning a pain in the neck. Takes too long to come to pressure or does not come to pressure so , open close retry , open close retry , burn food , give up. When it does come to steam (sometimes or come times if you will) always leaks and makes a mess plus a strange whistling sound (tap it on the head with a wooden spoon and it sometimes goes away). Unfortunately it has put me off Tefal products as well would never buy anything again from Tefal brand. Waiting for it to get old so that I can chuck it out of the window. Probably they made it in China (that would expalain it).

I've Had Mine For Over 7 Years And I Use It Every

I've had mine for over 7 years and I use it every week at least once. My gasket has only just gone. I've found this really easy to use, no problems at all. Sometimes if it doesn't come to pressure so I just unlock and lock the lid again and it works. Would definitely buy again.

I Hate This Pressure Cooker. I Can't Get It Up To

I hate this pressure cooker. I can't get it up to pressure without burning the food. It constantly leaks steam around the gassket. I wish I had never given my old Prestige away.

This Tefal Clipso Has Performed Well.however Tryin

This Tefal Clipso has performed well. However trying to buy a replacement gasket is like digging for gold : the service from Tefal and their spare parts agent is non existent. The spare gasket is available to order from amazon.com but they will not send them to UK.Without the gasket, the cooker is useless. Before purchasing the customer should be told of the difficulties in Tefals after care service.I will not buy Tefal again.

With Getting Older I Opted For This Model Because

With getting older I opted for this model because of the two handles.

The cost of replacement gaskets is one thing but was able to get them directly from Tefal. Their Website doesn't supply them AND having Googled, have been UNABLE to trace any replacement for this cooker.
