Stubben Siegfried Saddle

I had a stubben saddle fitter out or what stubben uk in corby call a saddlefitter who I later discovered wasn't a qualified saddle fitter who sold me a saddle that I later dicovered was fare to narrow so the horse suddenly started bucking. there was no help from stubben waste off £900. 15 years ago stubben was know to be the best but not anymore also they haven't managed to develop in quality and after looking at many others saddles and gone to an independant saddle fitter with various brands I have dicovered that there are many good well made brands I would rather have.

Stubben used to make fantastic saddles that lasted a lifetime. What happened? Paid a ton of money, defective saddle (panels were put on unevenly) and stubben north america is so arrogant that they don't care if customers are unhappy. They told me their products could not have problems and that I must be crazy. If you buy stubben, avoid dealing with stubben north america. Use an independent saddle repair person.

Have had several experiences with stubben and owning stubben saddles throughout the years. I will give them credit that they hold up well - but I have had several older models that were hard as a rock, started cracking and tearing while still being immaculately cared for, and I have had a HORRIBLE experience with Stubben Customer Service. The basic jist is, after I bought my used saddle, Stubben got my money and ran. When I tried to get in touch with them I got silence - both calls and emails were ignored. So much for the 'customer satisfaction guarantee'. I have since switched to another brand of saddles and will never go back to Stubben's again.

These are beautiful saddles and well worth the money--if they fit. I had Stubben come out and custom fit my horse, only to find out they recommended a buy a saddle that was too narrow. Not knowing that at the time, I banked on their expertise and bought the saddle. It was beautiful when it came, but the saddle caused sores on two horses backs and caused the one it was supposed to fit such badly pinched nerves that he fell and broke my collarbone! I will NEVER buy from Stubben again as they will NOT stand behind their inability to correctly fit a saddle. All they had to do was take mine back and give me a credit towards another one (not free, mind you) and I would be a happy customer. I will NEVER speak well of them again.

I really like the stubben saddle, and they are the only ones I use!

Stubben Seigfried - A comfortable saddle that fitted my very narrow mare with no problems. Good knee rolls and deep seat allow for a very secure position. Well designed and stylish saddle from a well known saddler. Expensive new but do hold thier value second hand.
