Old Mill Stables, Cornwall

It was a wonderful stables, I have stopped attending because it was a little expensive.The horses are so well kept and groomed, yard is alot of the time spotless, they really care about the horses not just the money they get. There were a few times they came off as a lil rude but it was a wonderful experience! I rode there for over a year and I loved every moment there. I hope to visit again sometime soon!!

My two girls have recently started on a Monday afternoon to have lessons with the yard manager . My girls love there lesson and always come out with the biggest smiles on there faces .

There instructor had a great way of getting the girls to learn and concentrate while making it fun at the same time.

The staff are really friendly and welcoming .

The ponies all look in fantastic condition and the yard is always spotless .

Would recommend to anyone looking to learn to ride.

I strongly recommend this riding school, I took my daughters who have never ridden before. We had a fantastic time and even managed a trot at the end. Lovely friendly staff and very relaxed horses.

We all really enjoyed going over the downs and taking in the views.

Next time we will book in for summer camp.

The tuition is focussed on improving the understanding of how you ride your horse and therefore ways of improving your communication with them.

All levels of all disciplines catered for.

Such a friendly welcoming atmosphere, would recommend to anyone wishing to expand their knowledge and improve their riding abilities.

Wish they were nearer so I could go on a weekly basis!

I have never been to such a friendly yard the STAFF WHERE LOVELY the horses where all beautifully turned out and a very tidy yard I have been riding t old mill for over 6 years now an I have enjoyed every minuet never a boring lesson always come away feeling like I have learnt so much love it love it love it. I recommend to anyone any age My whole family love riding at old mill and love the lovely horses and ponies :-)

I have improved greatly since having lessons at old mill. It is a very friendly yard. The teaching is great and the horses are very well looked after. The staff are so helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

I have been riding at Old Mill for nearly 4 years and have never gotten bored of it. All the people there are friendly and always willing to help. Most ponies there are really nice and easy to handle - perfect for the RDA lessons they hold. The lessons are really fun as well. We do a huge variety of things - Flatwork to jumping, Games to Hacking out - you'll never get bored. I used to be scared to try riding new horses but the instructors have helped me build up my confidence and now I am happy to try different horses. I don't think there's anywhere better than this amazing place. I know for a fact that my life wouldn't be as good if there weren't these amazing ponies to add some fun. Old Mill is absolutely awesome!!!!!!!!!

My children have lessons here and the instructors are really very good.I watched a lesson and think they get the right balance of fun,progressive and safe.So we moved to this stables for lessons and have been so pleased ,and they can help look after them too.The ponies are lovely and when the children grow out of them ,they can move up to horses which are well trained.

Old mill stables is brilliant. I have had a horse there for several years now, the highly trained staff are always there to help. No matter what the problem someone is there to help. The stables are very well looked after and never dirty. The attention to detail in every area of the yard is despicable, it is outstanding how hard the staff try to make everything the best it can be. The lessons are brilliant, they are split into age and ability groups each thought by a very skilled instructor who knows the horses inside out and therefore can cater for the riders needs.

I don't think you will find a better riding school in the whole of Cornwall.

I have been riding at old mill for 10 years now and I can not express enough to you how much I have learnt there. The horses are the best horses in the world, they have great manners and they are so patient with inexperienced riders. Being at old mill and bought out my positive side. I have now got so much confidence I don't know what to do with it. The staff there are ever so helpful and are always willing to help you if ever you are in doubt or are in need of help. All the school holidays that take place in the year they always have a wide range of activities for all their riders to join in with. They provide younger activities such as pony and pastys which enable young people to learn so much about their horse and improve on their riding skills. We're as for the elder riders they have gymkhanas, camps, jumping events and dressage competitions to enhance their riding skills and improve in all areas. I highly recommend this stables to anyone who wants to be a sensational rider when they are older or to just try out riding and see what they make of it!!!!
