I Love Bearded Dragons. Imho, They Are The Best Li

I love bearded dragons. IMHO, they are the best lizard (or even reptile) you can get. That might sound biased, but I have a thing for bearded dragons. I won't lie that I do love other reptiles like corn snakes and leopard geckos. But theres something about beardies that catches my personal attention moreso than others.

I Love My Bearded Dragons. His Name Is Spike, And

I love my Bearded Dragons. His name is Spike, and I got him for my birthday.

He's never bitten me, and he is naturally tame.

If you want a reptile a beardy is the way to go.

I Brought A Bearded Dragon For My Husband About A

I brought a bearded dragon for my husband about a year ago for £35. The lizard was only 4 weeks old. They live for approximately 12 years, and they are really easy to look after. The most expensive part was buying the housing for the lizard which cost around £250, but once you have brought all of this, that's it, apart from replacing the UV and heat bulbs on the odd occasion. Just remember to buy a tank which the lizard will be housed in for their whole lives, as this will keep costs down. They grow quite quickly, and they will outgrow small tanks! A fish tank with a wooden hood can be used for housing, and we got a 52 inch tank and wooden hood from Pets @ Home for £103. Feeding will cost between £5 - £7 a week, which should cover the costs of crickets, locusts and salad.

We called our bearded dragon Yoda, and he is now just over half a metre long, and has stopped growing. The bearded dragon is one of the calmest lizards you will ever come across!
