Dial Up Was Better

Terrible speed on the Two Way system, far too often a snails pace. I swear our old dial up system was better. This has been on-going for the past 6 - 12 months.

Unfortunately we live in an area without broadband so little other option.

So whilst we pay for 20mb maximum speed download, far to often I struggle to open google and other basic pages. Forget iplayer or anything else data heavy. £35 per month for not a lot really.

Far too over subscribed and system overloaded. Very poor business management and is only going to get worse as they continue to sell packages. They now cover their back by saying the system is now fairly busy. How far from the truth this is. How they can still get away with selling this product is beyond me.

Tried to speak to customer service, 1 and half hours later still no response. Very unsatisfied customer.

Answer The Phones Please!

I am a customer of Avonline broadband.

The service is good when working, the problems begin when you have an issue and want to talk to someone, they simply do not answer the phone!

I have made at least 20 calls to their 'Technical Support' team and been told by the answerphone I am "next in line" but on each occasion I have waited more than 20 minutes and often end up hanging up.

I have e mailed them asking them to call me back - Nothing

I have called their sales line, asked for the MD and explained that customer service is important and they need to answer the phone, still nothing happens.

I have finally e mailed them again explaining that I compare their customer support to that of EDF, BT, SSE, Vodafone and all the other useless companies we all know too well and if that doesn't wake up the MD nothing will.

What a shame....

Data Use

Avonline broadband service I started my package on 2gb selfe install they do not give much help with this you have to go on line to check install on you tube, however once install successful works as they said now I would start low package and find data not enough upgrade. I can see from reviews people run out of data not the speed of the service then complained its slow well check your data use big down loads big useage you can run TV from the dish with sepetate equipment which does not use your data up ask them for details so far I am happy with the service.

Radaam

Garbage, A Total Swizz. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

I live in an area with 1Mbps ADSL broadband. I took out a 2 year deal with Tooway/Avonline and can't wait to get out of it.

I use my internet mainly for Netflix/Apple TV other than general surfing, which is why I went with their 20Mbps service.

I started on a 10Gb package, but was breaching it and so getting shaped/limited to 256Kbps each month. Fair enough I thought, so upped to a 30Gb package for £50 per month.

I now find out, somewhere in the small print, that there is a fair usage policy, where once you use 50% of you data allowance, then certain uses are put into a usage pool only usable between 11PM and 6AM or something.

One such type of usage is streaming video/films.

So, I buy, a 30Gb package, but am not allowed to use it how I would like. Apparently using whatever data I want within my 30Gb limit is deemed "unfair".

I'm out of contract at the end of August, I will be leaving. Paying £50 per month just to send emails faster is just not worth it.

Bye bye Avonline.
