We Have Had One For 6 Years And In 19 Out Of 20 Ca
We have had one for 6 years and in 19 out of 20 cases the quality of the bread is perfect. The odd one is squat and dense for some reason. We have 2 design complaints - firstly, the loaves are too tall compared with the length i.e. not "loaf shaped". Secondly, we are not quite sure if the paddle is supposed to come out with the loaf or stay in the bucket. We prefer it to stay in the loaf and steer round it with the bread knife. When it decides to stay in the bucket it is almost impossible, single handed to get the loaf out. When it does come out there is a chunk of loaf stuck to the paddle leaving a big hole in the base of the loaf. What should really happen?

I Don't Like This Bread Maker. Overpriced! It ' S
I don't like this bread maker. Overpriced! It ' s poorly designed. Bread container is upright. This machine doesn't provide warm conditions, for dough to rise. The instructions aren ' t that clear. So therefore your kitchen needs to be reasonably warm. I tried wholemeal bread as advised. The dough almost didn't rise. The crust was too hard and too thick. The bread was very dry. The mixing blade stuck into bread. I am getting much better results with bread, when making by hand. Don't by this bread maker from Morphy Richards, because if you change your mind, you'll return at your own expense. I needed to take on account other reviews, and go for Panasonic bread maker. I wanted to save some money. But as they say, you get what you pay for. I will try again, but if it still fails to make good bread I ' ll return it to manufacturer. This is my first bread maker, but Morhpy Richards produce " definitely last.

Fairly Easy To Use. Makes Good Bread. Company Does
Fairly easy to use. Makes good bread. Company doesn't quibble about warranty replacement. However, unreliable and not of sufficient quality if it is being used on a daily basis. 1st the nonstick coating came off pan within a few weeks so we got it replaced. Then the belt got chewed up. Replaced with new machine. A few months later the belt came off/ broke on that. Now waiting for our third machine but they are out of stock waiting for a shipment from China! All of this within the 2 year guarentee. We'll be buying a more expensive better quality machine next time. OK for an occasional use. No good for daily use - it just was not up to it for me.

We Chose This Morphy Richards Fastbake Model As A
We chose this Morphy Richards Fastbake model as a gift, in return for points earned doing a regular shopping survey, and are very glad we did.
We have made several types of bread, all with great success, and use the delay timer most nights. So we wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread, a great way to start any day.
The machine does have a crust colour settings but, in general, I would not advise using the darkest setting.... even the light is really quite dark.
Bread tastes so much better than from the supermarkets and is heaven eaten warm with butter and a cup of tea.
The loaf is rather large (thickness) and a slice is probably half as big again as shop bought bread, but it tastes so good that is no problem for us.
The bread keeps well/fresh when allowed, and I would recommend this to anyone.

We Bought The Morphy Richards Fastbake Bread Makin
We bought the Morphy Richards Fastbake bread making machine from Homebase about a year ago for something like £30, which is fantastic value for money. It does loads more than bake a loaf, but that is really all we use it for. My wife got to grips with it very quickly, and after some experimenting with recipes, produced some nice loaves. My mid-70's mother-in-law also got to grips quickly, and also produced some excellent results - so that shows that it is simple to use. For a family who just wants to bake loaves in a simple value for money machine, I would heartily recommend it.
