Cheap Useless Tat
Was advised NOT to buy CATA and go for TEKA instead, however we were offered an unbeatable deal on this from B&Q, along with the oven fridge and extractor. (Almost £500 less than the Teka)
A stupid mistake, the fridge freezer smells like burning whenever it is on, the touch control on the hob decides to work sometimes, others not and the oven stopped working two days before Christmas.
Have had 3 service engineer visits, B&Q do not deal with this they pass you on to a separate company who are good, but had to cook our Christmas dinner in our neighbours house who luckily had gone away!
Build quality is poor, instruction manual is useless and after sales care is average, you get what you pay for I guess!
Please just GOOGLE CATA and have a look for yourself, cheap tacky rubbish.
Cata Induction Hob
Used this hob twice as I wasn't living at the property until last week. Bought new from B&Q as part of a kitchen costing over £3500.00. Rang B&Q last week and was told as I had had the item over 2 years there was nothing they could do and I would have to get in touch with technical services at CATA. This I did and waited for 6 days for an engineer to call, when he did he didn't have any parts with him. Rang B&Q again and was told there was nothing I could do only wait for the 5 days for the parts to arrive(suprise suprise 5 days is xmas day) happy xmas I don't think. Absolutely appaling.
Would not recommend B&Q or Cata to anyone
Q&A
Why do the 'heating zones' turn themselves off after only a few minutes of being turned on and how can I stop this happening?
I need the internal configuration of the wires set up. Which wire should be joined to which?
