Perspex Hob Lid
Like one of the Posts above the Igniction on this cooker would not ignite after quite a short time ..and hvae remained so until this day ... but .... but worse was to follow ..
The Perspex Hob Lid shattered in tousands of pieces in November
spraying pieces all over the Kitchen - it was not chipped cooker was not on , the oven had been on about 1/2 hr earlier
I have been intouch with Indesit who are the resposible company for advice etc ... in December I asked if they could give me a gaurantee that if I bought a new Hob lid that it would not shatter again
Following a prompt from myself last week I was given no such assurance
they can not gaurantee .....
This is most unhelpful to myself as I can't decide whether to spend good money on replacing the lid or not , I found it most useful as a splash back really
Anyone else have a problem with the Persplex lid
I also intend to inform Health & safety executive of this incident , we were fortunate that we weren't hurt but could so easily have been badly hurt or have got an eye injury
I say watch !!!
This guys are making a reivew of a product that didn't try?? is this a joke?! it's the same thing of making a reivew of a movie that they didn't see. This guys are in love with usp labs, the only products that they really like is from usp labs

I Bought A Cannon Camberley Gas Cooker 10 Years Ag
I bought a Cannon Camberley gas cooker 10 years ago. It worked well at first. But the electronic ignition for the hob burners gave problems after a fairly short time. I have to use a piezo lighter most of the time, especially for the large rings. The power of the large rings is poor. The main oven temperature is below what it should be, so you need to set it higher than advised. The top oven is more useful for keeping things warm than for cooking. I would like to have known this before purchase. The grill works well. I have found difficulty getting anyone to repair a gas cooker.
The cooker is OK as a fairly short-term purchase, but do not expect long service out of it.

We've Had Our Cannon Camberley For 11 Years Now &
We've had our Cannon Camberley for 11 years now & lookin 4 a new 1.Its been gr8 wiv no probs until recently wen the top oven stopped heatin up properly & had 2 resort 2 usin main oven & now 1 of the gas hobs gas jets seems calcified. We hav been debatin on whether 2 get a new oven or get it repaired, but decided coz of its age, best 2 get a new 1.Easier said than done. This oven isn't made anymore & wots more the kitchen was fitted around the oven,so we hav now either got 2 find an oven that is 53.3cm wide (but most r now made 50cm or 60cm) or we'll hav 2 move cupboards around & chop difference off work top or hav a big gap down the side of new oven.If any1 know's where i can still buy them (Norfolk area) please leave a comment below.x
Sorry meant 2 also say only reason 4 not givin 5 stars 4 service & support is because we never needed it/used it so can't really give top marks or poor marks. But yes 5 out of 5 all the way 4 me, thats why i'm lookin 4 another Camberley. x

Owned The Cannon Camberley Double Oven For Five/si
Owned the Cannon Camberley Double Oven for five/six years and no functioning problems. Small oven cooks great pizza and breaded chicken. Different sized burners. Marks to indicate temperature/flame control were not on the knobs, but on the panel. Glass panel behind knobs and metal edging round it collects gunge - difficult to clean. However, glass does prevent high/low flame marked indicators being rubbed off with time. Also has a safety shut off when glass lid closed. Easy to use timer clock with loud pinger.
Am selling my house, and buyer wishes to purchase the cooker! So it must look good!!

The Cannon Camberley Double Oven Is Excellent Valu
The Cannon Camberley Double Oven is excellent value and a sensible size for the small kitchen together with the option of brown.
Got A Cannon Camberley Double Oven. Main Oven Is V
Got a Cannon Camberley Double Oven. Main oven is very very slow. So slow I actually had Cannon come to check the cooker because I thought something was wrong with it!!. Temperature in the oven is actually 15 degrees below what is shown, which means turned up full you can only get a maximum of 225. Top oven actually cooks faster then the "main" oven. According to Cannon this performance is "within expected tolerances". The grill is smaller than my last cooker which was 10cm narrower. My old cooker was also 15yrs old but cooked much faster. The colour which they call Sliver is more accurately described as battle ship grey. This is the worst purchase I have made in a very long time..

We Have Had This Oven For 8 Years (wedding Present
We have had this oven for 8 years (wedding present) and have been very satisfied with it. Right from the start we thought that the top oven did not heat up as well as the bottom oven but this was never a problem we just mostly used the bottom oven. We are now disappointed that our bottom oven does not heat up properly. The gas is there but has no power in it. Have phoned engineers who say that this oven has a life of 16 years so not sure whether to get it repaired for half the price of a new one.....
What did you decide to do in the end? We have the same problem i.e. bottom oven not heating up properly but gas is there!

Had My Cannon Camberly For A Few Years Now And All
Had my Cannon Camberly for a few years now and all has been well. Recently the igniter's on the hobs have been clicking when the ovens are on. As the gas wont go on without the plug in for the ignition i've had to stop using it. Don't want to spend money finding out what the problem is so will get a new cooker and the money will go on that instead. Time will go on deciding what one.
Q&A
The flame in the main oven would not increase about 3 years ago. We paid Cannon to repair it at a cost of £112. Now the same problem is happening. They originally replaced the FSD. Surely this cannot have worn out already? I do not want to pay another £112 or more to fix the same issue. Apart from giving up, does anyone have any suggestions I can try before dumping this cooker?
