Poor Quality Of Symbol Panel

WE have found with use, the symbols and temperature indicators wear off on the front panel of our oven Mod No FID20XIMK2 Ser No 707120110

Enquiries made to Indesit have been useless,They said that they used to do a touch-up kit but this is now discontinued.

This defect does not make for easy cooking in an otherwise good cooker.

Dangerous Gas Cooker

I purchased this cooker in 2003. On 24.12.09 I was cooking my dinner in the oven and went for a bath. About half an hour later I checked on my dinner and noticed that the flame had gone out in the oven. I went to go find my gas cooker lighter to relight the oven. I lit the cooker and the next thing I know there was a big explosion and I was engulfed in a fireball!!!. My face & hair burned. I was lucky to escape without serious injury. The emergency gas authorities arrived and condemned the cooker because of a faulty flame device within the cooker. The emergency gas authority company said that the gas is supposed to shut off if the flame goes out, but on this cooker, the faulty flame device didnt work and there was a build up of gas within the cooker which exploded when I relit the cooker. I went to A & E at the local hospital. I am fighting the case via a solicitor but indesit deny any liability. I wonder if you anyone has had a similar experience. I hope not!

With The Indesit K344gx Freestanding Oven And Rang

With the Indesit K344GX Freestanding oven and range only having one shelf it limits how much you can cook at any one time. I realised after a short time that the reason there is only one shelf is that there is actually only one place in the oven that cooks the food. Too high and it does not cook at all, too low and it burns. Even garlic bread burns on the bottom and it is only in the oven 10 minutes. Everything has to be cooked on full to even cook, but looks uncooked on the top and burns on the bottom. I was a good cook before I had this cooker, now I only cook on top of the stove and have given up on roast potatoes or any accompaniment as the main dish is cold by the time the roast veg are cooked.
