Professional Plus 110 Lovely Cooker Shame About Knobs
Good looking functional cooker but knobs are a disgrace! All that money and they are plastic -bubbled and split within 6 months Rangemaster did replace 3 of them after emailing them but the same has happened again.
A definite design fault they should be metal
I fully endorse the review written on 21.01.13. I had a Rangemaster professional installed in June last year, in recent days several of the knobs have started to blister. I don't underfstand why this glorified foil has been used on a cooking applicance. I am still waiting for Rangemaster to send me the promised replacement.
Professional 110 All Gas
Good cooker let down by very poor knobs.. They're plastic covered in a metal finish which bubbled off in less than a year and the knobs above the oven have started to melt!!
This cooker was almost £2k so I'd expect metal controls at least!
Rangemaster ignored my emails.
We've had the same problem. An engineer even came and checked the seals on the oven, they were fine so it's a design fault with the knobs. They need to be made of a better heat resistant plastic/ceramic or metal.
Rangemasters response was very disappointing as they say there is nothing they can do! How about a product recall and redesign of the knobs or do you not take any pride in your products!

Disappointed, Disillusioned, Dissatisfied
I bought this cooker when we moved into our new house around 5 years ago
It all started with a number of troubles with the grill burner, to which we had to have a couple of service calls when the engineer repaired it, eventually I had to insist that they replaced it, shortly afterwards the electric warming plate burnt out and that had to be replaced.
progressively one by one the burners have ceased to burn properly, ie, the flame is higher oneside of the burner than the other.
And now a second warming plate has burnt out.
In conclusion I can only guess that Rangemaster are marketing their product on a name that was once a symbol of reliability, but now is nothing more than third rate trashy materials and workmanship to say the least of very poor design.
I will certainly not by buying another Rangemaster cooker, as an engineer of 45 years standing, where I have dealt with domestic and commercial appliances alike, I find Rangemaster products to be absolute rubbish.
If your thinking about buying one the simple answer is don't.
