I Recently Bought This In The Argos Sale For A Ten
I recently bought this in the argos sale for a tenner, after reading how popular they were on moneysavingexpert. Easy instructions - do not fill to top, put potatoes /root veg at the bottom as they take longer to cook, brown /cook meat first, use boiling water only. 'low' or 'high' settings, and a 'keep warm' option. I work until 8.30pm twice a week, so it is perfect for me to put on before I leave the morning and leave on low all day.

I Had This Cookworks 3.5 Litre Round Slow Cooker O
I had this Cookworks 3.5 Litre Round slow cooker originally and swapped it for a well known brand family size with my brother in law. This branded one took "slow" to the extreme - like 24 hours, and burned on the bottom. No problems with the cookworks brand.

Excellent Little Unit Which I Bought For Under &po
Excellent little unit which I bought for under £10 in the sale last year. I wanted to try a slow cooker and thought I'd get this to test it out. I will never go back to using a saucepan for curries, stews and soups as this is fantastic. The way slow cookers break down the fibres in foods means everything stays intact. No breaking up of veggies, meats melt in the mouth and I can go to work and come home to an amazing meal. lamb curry takes about 6-7 hrs on low and 3-4 hrs on high. Auto is somewhere in between. It's fantastic despite the couple of minor flaws previously mentioned. As an entry level or budget unit you can't go wrong.
I am now thinking of moving up to a more expensive model as my son wants one and he will be more than happy with mine. I have had no breakdowns or major problems with it so far and would recommend it.
