Worst Service Department Ever

First they canceled within minutes of when they were supposed to arrive and when they did finally come days later, the service technician was too worried about rushing through the service and leaving so he did the bare minimum to fix the problem which resulted in ruining my shed enclosure. He literally cut an ugly hole in my shed instead of offering to fix the piping properly; the way even he said it should’ve been done in the first place. This is the 3-4th time I’ve had issues with the installation. The techs are expected to rush to get as many jobs done and the customers suffer. Love the water system. But the installation and service department gets ZERO stars. Quite literally the WORST service and department I’ve ever experienced. Thank you for paying to fix my shed, but if you were an honest and ethical company, you would’ve jumped at the opportunity to also install the system properly for your customers when you ADMITTED to me that it wasn’t done as well as it could’ve been. The head of service, refused to fix the piping for the shut off valve and wanted to charge me for their poor installation. He is a HORRIBLE representative for the company with his complete lack of care for the customers. All he cares about is money and not whether clients get the best service. He could have drivers sitting around and he still won’t fix your system properly bc it’s too much work for his department. I am putting this review on Yelp and Google as well. And no longer referring and will be dissuading people from choosing Lifesource. I am disappointed and wish I had chosen a different water filtration company.

Buyer Beware

We purchased the LifeSource system after meeting with the sales rep. The system has never worked as presented. Rather, all the water fixtures have heavy calcium deposits. The water is bad to the taste. The mine reason for purchase was my wife suffers UTI very bad and we had been purchasing bottled water for years. The LifeSource system was to provide clean clear water, hence, eliminating UTI. WRONG. We are back to bottled water. We have called LifeSource rep manybtimesbonlynto receive then run around. Please do not spent your hard working money on this system

Sincerely

Bert

Too Expensive

Google similar brand product and buy someplace else. Had mine for 16 years. They claimed charcoal filter can be replaced when I purchased, now they claim I need to purchase new system for $3800. Original purchase price: $2799.00.

Also, pre-sediment filter housing failed, company no longer makes replacement. I had to replace with 3rd party housing. Company also originally claimed no water softener needed but not true. Had to replace plumbing due to hard water corrosion. Now company sells separate water softener system.

Made a very bad decision purchasing a LifeSource water system. The system does not work as sold. A waste of money. Buyer beware.

Life Source 1620 Series Whole House Water Filter System

My wife and I purchased a new home in Visalia, Ca in 2007. We had always been rural people living in the country having our own well. In 2007 after moving to town and having city water I began having itchy skin and dandruff. Unlike anything previously! The more I washed my hair just made more dandruff and itch. The chlorine smell and taste in the water was not to our liking.

We had a LifeSource Whole House Water Filtration System installed several months after living here and immediately the odor and taste left and the water became enjoyable. My dandruff and itchy skin and scalp went away within a short time. We can drink out of any faucet including the back yard and it all tastes good. It is 2016, 8+ years and we have never needed any maintenance on our water system and it functions beautifully day-in-and-day-out!

Life Source has been one of our best investments. Thank you very much for your help and the friendship in kindly solving our need.

Sincerely

Originally I Had A Really Bad Experience With The

Originally I had a really bad experience with the LifeSource system but I found out I was working with a non-certified plumber. Once I got in touch with the actual company that produces these systems my experience improved a lot. By the way I found out these systems are made in the United State which I thought was pretty cool. I think the plumber I worked with was just trying to make a sell and really over stated what this system could do in comparison with a water softener which is what I owned previously. However, the reasons I went with LifeSource are still more important than the water spots I was originally told I would “never see again”.

So here’s the bottom line, if you don’t want to have to add salt to your water on a regular basis or invest in an under sink reverse osmosis system then LifeSource is the way to go. It will not remove your water spots but I did see a significant reduction in buildup and most all spots caused by water are much more manageable than before. Is it worth the cost? For me, as a home owner, I think it’s a great investment but it’s definitely not the least expensive system out there.

Best Water System Out There!

I'm a big fan of my lifesource system. I usually wouldn't review on products like this but I truly am a believer that this system has made a huge difference in my life. First off, the person who helped set everything up, Stacia, was wonderful. She was really helpful and answered any questions and concerns I had. I had spoken with a person from Pelican and they were not nearly as knowledgeable on the subject. Stacia really knew what she was talking about.

The neighborhood we live in has really old pipes and when originally purchased our lifesource system we had to get a sediment filter add on cause all the extra muck in our water was causing problems with our filter. Every time I change the filter on sediment filter it's a BIG reminder of just how much junk is in our water. The filters are often completely black, really gross!

Usually buying filters online is pretty simple but today I had trouble finding that option on the lifesource website. I had to call in and was told the website was recently changed up a bit. I talked with a woman  who was exceptionally cheerful and stayed on the phone with me to help me figure out how to do everything. I don't often have to call in but it's nice to know that when I need a little help, I can expect great service from this company.

The Best!

LifeSource is absolutely the best option for a water system. My husband has extremely dry and sensitive skin. Even showering with really hard water can leave his skin red and irritated. A few months ago we went to a friend’s house who had a LifeSource system and my husband went to wash his hands and found that the water didn’t irritate his skin whatsoever. After extensive research, we decided to install one in our new house. After the first shower, it was amazing to see the difference in his skin. After coming in contact with the water, there was no itching, no redness, and best of all, no lotion. I highly recommend this product purely because it is chemical free and requires no maintenance. Everyone who helped get this process started and completed was very helpful. The fact that the tank is hassle free is amazing and well worth the investment. I am going to recommend it to my entire family and friends.

Does Not Solve Hard Water Issues

The whole house filtration system works great for purifying water but it does NOT resolve the hard water problem so the company is really guilty of false advertising. The system works great for removing impurities but you will need more than the Lifesource system if you have hard water like I do. They know offer a ScaleRemover separate add-on system and I am debating whether to try that or not. I recommend the unit for purifying your water, but not for softening water.

Amazing System...makes Hair Really Soft!

Everyone in my immediate family owns a LifeSource systems and I decided I finally made the leap to get one for myself after months and months of hearing everyone rave about their water. I have to say I’m pretty impressed so far! Between you and me I think I ended up paying less than any of my family members because I held out for their end of the year sale, TOTALLY WORTH IT! I love a good sale.

The water here in Fresno is horrible and typically I end up getting a few gallons of water each week which adds up after a while if you know what I mean. I also ended up getting their scale solver because I get a lot of buildup in my dishwasher. I still get white spots on my dishes but the buildup seems to be breaking up little by little although I’ve had to run it a few times to kick up that process. I was 100% sure I made the right decision with this system because the other day my some came up to me and commented on how soft the water made his hair. He has really long straight hair which he is ALL about right now, he’s a teenager. We definitely recommend this system!

Q&A

Jeffpaul

I need a new filter for the backwash component. It has began to leak. Where can I get it from?

Pumpman2

I live in Southern California. We have a water emergency. My understanding is that the Lifesource back washes the filter every day? How much water does this take to back wash? I like the idea but need to know how much water is wasted by back washing. Can this water be used to irrigate?

Ashirk

Can some one please tell me the difference between lifesource premier power package and the regular lifesource premiere system? The difference in price they are quoting me is nearly $3000.

Thank you

lmny53

I have a life sourest unit and thought that there was a red light blinking that meant it was working. Is this correct?
