JR X1000 Nutri Blender

The JR Ultra X-1000 Nutri Blender by Juicy Retreats is by far the best choice for my household as my family are constantly banging on about healthy living. The 1000 watt motor is certainly capable of this.

On opening the box, everything was packaged well. Included in the box was the main blender base, 2 cups, one 1 litre and one 0.5 litre, one cup base with a cross blade and another with a flat blade You also get 2 covers for the cups and a drinking mouth cover with a separate cap for taking your drink out when you are on the move. Also, a booklet with clear simple instructions written in English on how to set up and use your Nutri Blender.

I love the fact that it has a touch button control panel. Its so simple to use! You just put the food in the blender cup and rotate the base on the blender cup clockwise tightly. Then, simply, rotate the blender cup onto the base clockwise tightly. Plug it in and the red LED light will flash letting you know that the blender is on standby. It has the benefit of having 2 different speed settings and also a pulse function which is going to be perfect for crushing ice. When pressing one of these buttons the blue light above the red light will flash. The pulse button will operate the blender on high speed instantly but will stop after 2 seconds and go back to standby. This can be repeated again and again until you get the consistency of whatever it is you are making. We have been making fresh fruit smoothies daily and my sons have been mixing their protein shakes in this because of the speed and convenience of leaving it in the cup. I have also put frozen fruit in the cups and it works just as well giving you an ice cold drink.

The smaller cup is the Grinding Cup and is placed on the blender base in the same way as the larger cup. This is for dry ingredients such as coffee, pulses, beans, spices, basically any dry ingredients, just no more than 120g. Perfect for making sauces! Investing in this machine is a must if you love peanut butter because making your own will become part of your life, it’s just so simple and perfect for a high protein diet too!.

As far as cleaning it, it is simple, the cups and blades can be cleaned in a dishwasher but obviously not the blender base which contains the motor.

Overall, I would award it 5 stars. I have to say that the JR Ultra X-1000 in my opinion is an essential appliance for the kitchen. Don’t just look at it as a smoothie maker as it is capable of much more and is worth every penny!

There are loads of blenders of this type, its hard to know which one to choose. I narrowed it down to the 3 main contenders in this area. The Nutribullet, the Nutri Ninja and the JR X1000. I went with the JR because of the features and also the price. Also, I wanted something to last so went with the company with the pedigree of other blenders. The JR Commercial blender range looks incredible so I was confident about the smaller blender It has a very nice High and Low speed option which the others did not have and also allows for blending smoothies as well as grinding seeds and nuts with the grinder attachment as well. It is incredibly powerful and also allows for pulsing which is great for tougher ingredients. It makes really nice smoothies really quickly, I am very happy indeed.

I can highly recommend the JR X1000 Blender, it is a gadget that I use everyday. A very nice product.
