Polti Vaporella Fashion Steam Iron

My wife bought one of these from an online shopping channel, has worked ok for 3 years but today she went to use it and its stone dead, no power either to steam generator or iron. Fuse was not blown in plug so I took a look inside, powere was reaching what looked some kind of relay or cut out switch attached to boiler. As this looks a bespoke part & probably not available for self fix it looks terminal. I would assume from what others have written a factory repair would cost more that its worth. I would not recomend this product, much better to buy a cheap standard steam iron.

Nice When New, But Broken Down Easily...

I have owned a Polti Vaporella 1000 for couple of years, it all went well at the beginning, easy to easy, very steamy... untill it started to give up about 1 month ago. I had it about 2 years, so I guess it's a little gamble as what you think it's value for money.

In comparasion to other steam generator I had, Tefels, I think this is a better iron overall... But I am now looking for a replacement, and it's not a Polti, as the after sale service wasn't very helpful, only thing they have been doing is to recommand using their Kolstop! which is not helping...

I had three now and all have given up in under two so I also now am going to go with another make

I agree, i've had my polti for 12 months it broke down after one month and steam leaked from the cork handle, burning my hand each time I ironed. Polti were extremely unhelpfull and recommended that I rent an iron and returned it for repair. I asked for a replacement iron which they refused to do. My husband repaired the iron and now after one year the hot plate element has gone .....I will definately not be buying another polti!!!

I Jave Just Bought This Iron, But Unfortunately It

I jave just bought this iron, but unfortunately it keeps stopping and losing heat, it then produces so much steam it is dangerous, i am sending it back

I Dont Recommend This Product To Anyone!! I Bought

I dont recommend this product to anyone!! i bought this at least 7months ago and in that period of time i have had to replace it 4-5 times as it keeps breaking. There just seems to be no prower at all going to it so please people dont buy this product!! Luckily i didnt have to pay for it to get it fixed they just sent me a new one out with days but the same thing keeps happening to them all. Hope this has helped you and dont buy this please its a real waste of money.

I Bought My Polti 4500r Iron In May 2008, When It

I bought my Polti 4500R iron in May 2008, when it works it is great

but it has now broken twice in this time and last time it broke it took four weeks to get it back. This weekend it has broken again and they want £93 to repair it. I will not be buying another Polti product ever again.I tried to speak to Polti today but it is impossible to contact them.

After sales services diaboligal. Rang some man, because I use it for dressmaking, he didn't want to know me. This iron is superb for my needs when its working. Nobody in n.ireland does repairs. The steam has stopped working.

I Have Had My Polti Forever 1000 For More Than 6 Y

I have had my Polti Forever 1000 for more than 6 years and have been so glad of it. However, I do agree with everyone's comments on reliability and durability. My machine goes wrong roughly once every two years - switches not working, valves leaking, etc. I paid £400 back then and was pretty cheesed off when it had problems just after the guarantee ran out! BUT I don't agree with comments about Polti service. I have always had a prompt and efficient service from them. The iron is usually picked up within 48 hours (sometimes 24 hours) and returned a few days later. Today though, I wonder if I should pay the £93 service/repair/pickup charge, or just buy a new iron. They're all so much more advanced/efficient and I hope, better built and therefore more reliable, that perhaps repairing the old one is throwing money at a dinosaur.

I found this review very helpful because...i was very interested in buying one but not now i have read this review. if i am paying out a lot of money and it breaks down within a couple of years then one should expect it to be repaired free of charge or to pay a lot less for it when i first purchased it. they should be built for everyday use for years on end.

I Thought My Vaporella Polti Iron Was The Bees Kne

I thought my Vaporella Polti iron was the bees knees when I got it first. It was simply THE best iron I had ever used in the 30 years Ive been ironing. All true until a year ago (4 years after purchase) when the cabling coming out of the iron and the iron handle started to get very hot. Now I burn myself when Im holding the iron, and I fear its getting so hot I will get an electric melt down, short circuit, or something. Ive even stopped teaching my 12 year old to iron for fear of harm to him.

After sales support is nonexistent at Polti. Im so miffed now Im looking to 'recycle' the equipment but am finding it hard to - what seems like - throw money down the drain.

Shame shame shame on you Polti.

My Wife Was Very Pleased With The System Because S

My wife was very pleased with the system because she found it easy to use and efficient. That was until it stopped generating steam, after approx 2 years. After sales service from Polti is virtually non-existant. Even 'phoning them is difficult, since they do not answer - instead you leave a message and wait for a call back.... and wait .....and wait. Still waiting in fact. The service agents listed on the website do not want to even see the appliance, let alone repair it. All this for the bargain price of £299!

Such a pity really, as my wife says that it is the best iron she has ever used in 40 years. DON'T BUY POLTI !!!

Wanted to give 0 out of 5 for support, but had to give 1 star to avoid error message.
