Having Recently Purchased This Tefal Aquaspeed Fv5
Having recently purchased this Tefal Aquaspeed FV5150 iron which happens to be the most expensive iron i have ever purchased all i can say is dont even look at this iron let alone try to use it, it must have been produced in the most cheapest and poorly paid factory in the UK. Or maybe it was just the way it must have got thrown around in the shop, having tried to contact comet and actually driven up there with the product and receipt of purchase i was told we did not have any proof of purchase,( what may i ask is a receipt with their telephone number date etc), and having the so called new model still in stock on the shelf, we were turned away by a rather prosumptious woman, and told to try again. My husband and i handed over both of our cards to her she checked for some 15mins. on the computer only to say we had not purchased this iron there, she contacted another store were thay verified we had earlier in the year purchased a bosch dishwasher on the same card, when we got home i contacted our bank who verified that we had in fact purchased a tefal iron in MerthyTydfil. What can we now do???? Since we have had to purchase yet another iron from NEXT for £20 absolutely perfect where as COMET MERTHYR charged us £49.99 for a tefal iron that does less of a good job of steaming!!!!!!!!!

The Tefal Aquaspeed Fv5150 Performed Well Whilst I
The Tefal Aquaspeed FV5150 performed well whilst it was working. Lasted only 14 months with light use. Now requires new thermostat - told by repairers not worth repairing as it would cost £30!

My Husband Bought Me A Aquaspeed For A Present. Fr
My husband bought me a Aquaspeed for a present. From the start I found that the water filler leaked and the thermostat was faulty - to the extent that some days I couldn't get it to work at all. I bought another to allow me return the first because I had no receipt. I now I am stuck with a second new iron that leaks from the bottom and is very hit and miss when it comes to heating up. After just 3 weeks I cant live with it any longer. I logged on fully expecting to read about similar stories and perhaps a recall notice. To date there are none so perhaps I have just been unlucky.

Filling From The Bottom Is A Little Awkward. It Is
Filling from the bottom is a little awkward. It is incredibly noisy, which is why we returned the Tefal Aquaspeed FV5150 steam iron. We could hear the water bubbling when we stood the iron upright. It was so loud we couldn't talk over it! Also, although the base makes it stable on the board, it was a tight fit on the iron rack.

I Bought The Tefal Aquaspeed Fv5150 Steam Iron And
I bought the Tefal Aquaspeed FV5150 steam Iron and I found it to be very quiet to use, to the extent that you can think it is not steaming when in fact it is.
There are a couple of problems with it however. The water filler is at the rear. The seal around the water filler leaks, therefore, when placed on its stand for only a few seconds, damp patches are left on the ironing board. And, the integral stand is quite large and does not allow the iron to be placed in the cradle, which many ironing boards now contain.
