Miele Novotronic T 7644 C

Not only doesn't this dryer doesn't dry clothes fully/properly (they're still humid after completion of the cycle) but if you run the cold cycle for delicate clothes it is actually burning hot! Miele is definitely not the brand it used to be, yet still very expensive, and results are less than satisfactory.

I was very happy with this dryer as my previous Bosch model used to tangle all the sheets into a bundle and this machine never did but after only 4 years of use I am having the same reported problem of machine saying filters need cleaning and its impossible to override this message and continue using the dryer. I am not a heavy user, probably using it on average 3 or 4 times a week.

I have cleaned all the filters repeatedly to no avail.

Miele please do something about this repetitive problem and restore my trust in your products!

We've had the Miele T 7644 C since 2008, for 5 years now. It was my very favourite machine in all aspects untill it started not to dry and kept showing the indicator to clean the filters. We have ALWAYS cleaned the filters after each cycle + frequently cleaned the condensator all accordingly to the operating instructions. So I looked on line and found MANY reports on exactly the same problem. People report water coming from the back bottom left hand side, so I pulled ours from the wall and THERE IT IS - rust marking and wetness on the back bottom at the left side. I contacted Miele and reported the fault and informed them of reviews online describing EXACTLY the same problem. They claim they don't know about it. And a technitian visit costs £117 plus parts. Since it is not a reported known fault it is not covered. EVERYONE PLEASE START REPORTING. This machine is too expensive to only work properly for 5 years.

Have always wanted to step up to Miele. Used to live near the factory. Their reliability is legendary. This machine has been perfect from day one and has been used every day for four years. Has easily paid for itself v cheaper brands that break down more often.

The Miele Novotronic T7644C appears solid enough, which one would expect from a Miele and the prices they charge.

Unfortunately it has been a great disappointment. The sensor drying does not work properly. The clothes never seem to get totally dry. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a tumble dryer to do that for you!

Now the machine has broken down. It is less than four years old and it does not heat up to dry the clothes. I face the prospect of paying a huge amount for a technician to come out and look at it. I'm seriously considering chucking it and getting something cheap that actually does the job. I had a Zanussi before this and it lasted longer and did a better job.

I was always under the impression that Miele were one of the best brands. Shop assistants tell you that if you buy a Miele you'll have it for life. That is not true. I had a Miele dishwasher that only lasted 5 years. I doubt I shall be buying Miele again. They are very overpriced for what they are.

I payed extra for a Miele Novotronic T 7644 C rather than its competitor as I was informed that I was paying for fantastic reliability - Well thats rubbish! In two and a half years it has broken on 3 occasions. The worst part is that it requires a Miele specialist repair company that charges triple what the other companies do. I feel ripped off and will not buy Miele again.

nothing I put into my miele novotronic comes out properly dry.. where am I going wrong?

We bought the T7644C as a new model in 2006 and when it works it is very good. We are on our second machine now and both have had problems with fluff blocking the condener draining system at the bottom of the machine. This causes the machine to leak at the back left hand side. The first time the engineer could unblock it, but on the second occasion it needed a new part. It is impossible to avoid fluff geting into the water system so I can only conclude that this blocking is the result of a design flaw, given it has happened on completely different machines even with regular cleaning of the condenser unit.

I wasnt so sure whether i wanted to pay so much for a condenser drier!.

please note it is a condenser drier when you see the price.
