It's A Semi-industrial, Robust Dryer And It's Easy

It's a semi-industrial, robust dryer and it's easy to find spare parts, acessories and schematics online, but I don't understand why the electrical schematic (inside the front panel), doesn't shown the 6.3Amp fuse, present in the upper wiring harness for the 240V european model. My electrical diagram is like the american (no fuse mentioned), probably because is assembled in Mexico, so open your eyes if you try to repair it. Anyway is a good value for your money.

Just Got This "dead" Whirlpool Awz481e Hardly Used

Just got this "dead" Whirlpool AWZ481E hardly used european 240v dryer off ebay for £100, HAHA fello ebayers - it was a simple fix, opened up the panels, rear and top, and in the wiring bundle which goes from front to back at the top ,( which incidentally NOTE should be fixed with stick down "zip" bases to the side panel or at least gaffer tape, as it could get harmed by the drum), anyway, found an in-line black fuse holder with a gone fuse value 6.3 amps uprated it to 10 amps slo blo, dunno what it does, but when I replaced it the machine sprang to life. It's a really well built machine, the wiring harness is a bit micky mouse in that it's not fixed with restraints. I think the fuse went because it's the wrong rating or a poor quality fuse. I can't see any reason for it to go, it's now running on soak test 4 hours gone. Don't forget this is a massive 4.5kW unit and a pro electrican must plumb it in or your mains plug and socket will burn up. I've had other whirlpool stuff and this matches their fabulous 10kg washer unit. Robust, used by the military, I'm in the military YO cant beat up a whirlpool. Don't try this 10c fix unless you have a degree in astrophysics and can fly a plane.... you can email me through www.youtube.com/ebaystars where I moan about crappy pro audio equipment...

Bought This Whirlpool Awz481e Dryer To Work Alongs

Bought this Whirlpool AWZ481E dryer to work alongside whirlpool's 10kg washing machine. Stopped working after 2 months. Nowhere near good enough for the money. Had to fit dedicated electric supply and tweak utility room worksurfaces/units to suit its larger than average stance. Looks like whirpool are withdrawing it now as there are none around. I am trying to find another dryer now that is as physically large as this and to match my washer as they go side by side.

The Whirlpool Awz481e Is A Great Tumble Dryer, The

The Whirlpool AWZ481E is a great tumble dryer, the only problem i had to find space to vent it through the roof as i had no immediate wall, the dryer has a 10kg load, 1kg extra than my whirlpool awm9100 washing machine, so with that extra space dries clothes faster, has various settings, dries clothes automatically on various auto dry sensor settings. Has 4 different heat settings including, full heat, medium, low heat, cool air, then has ready to wear, cupboard dry plus, cupboard dry, cotton, synthetics/permanent press, iron dry, damp dry, rapid dry, gets a full load dry within one hour, buzzer lets me know when they are ready to take out. All i do is turn the selector to the right onto cupboard dry (automatic programme) and press start, the machine does the rest, senses how damp they are and dries them accordingly, then cools them down, gets rid of any creases and buzzes to let me know the load it ready to be removed, but if i'm not there to remove the laundry from the dryer, the machine continues to tumble occasionally so that the clothes do not get creased. Great machine would definately recommend.
