I'm A Fan Of The Lush Products But Hadn't Ever Tri

I'm a fan of the Lush products but hadn't ever tried one of their shampoo bars. I was rather sceptical about just how well they'd lather up and how tangled they might leave my hair. However, last weekend we had a wonder around the Covent Garden store and my other half came across the shampoo bars and wanted to give one a go.

I have to wash my hair every day as it gets rather oily so the assistant suggested we try the Jumping Juniper bar. It's purple in colour and comes on the form of a hard round disk, about the diameter of a water glass. It cost £4.40 and we got a free tin to store it in.

Lush claim you should wet your hair and the bar, and then rub it around your head three times to get a good lather. I had to do it slightly more than that, maybe 4 times plus a little rubbed along the length, but it was no where near the kind of work I was expecting to get some decent suds worked up. After rinsing my hair, it did feel a little matted, and almost like it hadn't been fully rinsed, but after conditioning, it felt fine.

Once dry, my hair was soft and shiny and I was rather impressed! My only disappointment was that it didn't give my hair the nice scent that the bar had.

The following day, my hair was free from grease, but it did feel a little heavy and seemed to get knotted easier than normal.

The shop assistant told me the bars last around 6 months, I think that's a little optimistic if you wash your hair every day like me, but I think it'll still last longer than a regular bottle.
