Pro:Voke Touch of Silver Twice a Week Brightening Shampoo

I bought this shampoo after reading about how good purple shampoos are for getting rid of brassy tones in your hair.

I had decided on a whim to dye my brown hair blonde and after a pre-lightener, bleach and 4 lightening dyes, it was still a horrible copper colour and nothing would shift it. So instead of adding more bleach to my hair and possibly turning it into straw, I decided, after reading reviews for this shampoo on Amazon, to give it a go.

I bought it for £2 from Amazon and wasn't expecting great things since my hair was horribly brassy and I didn't have silver, white or platinum blonde hair, which is what the shampoo is made for.

You're supposed to use it twice a week and says on the bottle that it's a 'toning shampoo' so be careful with your clothes as it may stain.

You shampoo your hair as normal but leave it in for five minutes.

After the first wash, I noticed a slight improvement but I thought this was down to my wishful thinking. Then after the second wash the brassiness was MUCH less noticeable, but still gingery.

Now I'm on my fourth week of using Pro:Voke Touch of Silver Twice a Week Brightening Shampoo and my hair is amazing.

I couldn't be happier with my choice. My hair is now a very bright strawberry blonde and I've only used it 9 times. The difference is unbelievable!

I've still got half a bottle left and I've just noticed that it's selling in my local chemist now so I'm extremely pleased.

Everyone is commenting on how much better my hair looks and if I bleached it again to get it this colour. They will not believe me when I tell them I haven't done anything to it apart from use this shampoo, it's THAT good.

I would recommend anyone with brassy or yellowing hair to give this a good go for a few weeks if you want to keep the condition of your hair great. It is recommended for silver, white or platinum blondes but hell, I wasn't those colours and it still worked wonders for me!

Oh and even though it says twice a week, if you want to be cheeky like I was, I used it three times a week and still didn't have any purple build up in my hair so it's up to you.

If you do get purple build up, they do a good daily shampoo and conditioner to get rid of it. It's a win-win situation.

You'll probably see amazing results after just your second or third usage and it gets better every time after that! I recommend anyone dying their hair blonde or lighter to keep this in their bathroom because it really saves you from getting dull, brassy hair.

It can be slightly drying but a good conditioner after shampooing makes your hair look perfect and for 2-3 pounds a bottle, you really can't go wrong!
