Good & Bad!

I always used to go back to this foundation due to the pro's of it which are:

1. Affordable

2. Goes on smoothly

3. Wide range of shades

4. Nice feel

However, I am now changing my foundation from this as I have found this foundation is no longer good for me due to the dryness that can be seen on even the slightest dry patch (I have oily/dry skin depending on area of face. It does not last long at all and looks patchy and cakey in creases such as the nose area. I also feel it can look oily after a few hours of wearing it. Overall, I would not recommend it as it can be extremely dry and will make these dry patches very visible and it also does not last long at all and can sometimes look horrible when its put on. It goes flaky and doesn't cover acne prone/ spotty skin very well.

Happy With It

I had no issues with this foundation, when I go out I use it and it blends easy in.

A Bad Reaction

What a distressing time I had with Maybelline dream matte mousse! Within three hours of buying and using this product my face was burning, bright red and very sore in all the places I had put it. This lasted for three days whilst I had antihistamines and Aloe Vera gel on my face to cool it down. I couldn't sleep or work and when I reported this to L'oreal was told that the only help they could give me was to send me to a dermatologist to test why I had the reaction. I would absolutely stress I have never had any allergies before and in fact any other make of makeup has been fine with no bad reaction. I have used this product before and can only think they must have changed the ingredients recently. Needless to say I will never use a L'oreal product again!!

Absolutely Love It!

I bloody love this foundation, i use it every day! its so easy to apply and blends right in with your skin if you get the right color. Its the best foundation iv used so far, defiantly would recommend it to anybody. The only down side to it is it doesn't last long on your face, unless you pile it on.. would usually look like iv got nothing on after about 5/6 hours. My little tub lasts roughly 4 months, but obviously that varies on the amount you wear.

Excellent.. For A Few Months.

I first bought dream matte mousse about a year ago and I fell in love. The colours were perfect, the application was very easy and it was nice to wear. It blended well into my skin and it was easy to put bronzer on top, it also acted like a concealer for the few spots I had missed. It was all going well and I honestly thought I had found one I could wear for years and years, until my skin became seriously oily on my t-zone. It no longer sits in my skin very well, ending up with make-up all over my fingers at the end the day, and it began sliding off. It's getting to the point where I feel I need to take it all off and start again every few hours. I will never blame the product for this though, certain products won't suit certain people, I appreciate this, but I have never got on with liquid foundation either. Plan B now!

To tell you a bit about my skin to help those unsure whether it would suit them, it has never been in bad condition. I blush easily and this hid that well, hiding my bright red cheeks also. It's not particularly dry (not anymore) and has only recently been getting oilier and oilier. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I generally wear make-up every day (have to for my job so is now more routine than a must) so this could also be affecting the state of my skin. I'm not spotty although I do break out on the odd occasion, like every woman does. I wash my face morning and night and I tend to take my make-up off with a make-up wipe beforehand as I wear a lot of eye make-up.

Dream Matte Mousse is honestly the best make-up product I have ever bought. I am extremely disappointed that my skin's decided to do this to me, it obviously just needs change! (Quite looking forward to testing some slightly more upmarket ones to see if they help!). For the money, this product is very good. One pot lasts me around a month and I am happy to spend £8 a month on my face. I hope this helps all those lost sheep out there that are struggling to decide!

Amazing

Its the best foundation I have ever had. I have really pale skin and this is the only foundation witch is light enough for my skin. I would completely recommend it and any one who says its rubbish must have REALLY high standeds I love it

Alright For Price

I started using this mousse a while ago, and at first it seemed very good. The coverage is good and the texture is very light, and doesnt feel like your waring any. However I found out that it was making me break out, and had reactions because of my sensitive skin. As time goes on both me and a friend has found that when applying the foundation, it starts 'crumbling' which sounds odd for a mousse, but it would get all over my clothes and hair. Overall a decent foundation for lightness and coverage but not so good for sensitive skin.

Flawless

Ive used this product for a few years. Its Matte, stays on longer than any other and looks flawless. I always had greasy skin up to my 30s when i started using Dream Matte Mouse. This stops any spots appearing as not at all greasy. People who have had the flaky skin after probably have dry skin to begin with or become dry from much use and not enough moisturising. If i didnt mousturise yes it could look flaky. But for very greasy to normal skin i couldnt recommend anything better product. I always had comments how flawless my skin looked. I got alot of friends using this product. Again if you skin is normal to dry then moisturise before you apply which you should do anyway.
