I Came Across A Review For Lush Angels On Bareskin
I came across a review for Lush Angels on Bareskin face wash whilst checking out cruelty free products. I currently only use the fabulous Liz Earle Skin Care range, but I decided to give this a go. I am 40 and still getting spots (sigh), despite a good skincare routine and diet, so I wasn't expecting anything from this gooey mess!! However, it left my skin wonderfully smooth without taking a layer of skin off!! My spots were soothed, and it reduced any others lurking in the background waiting to pop out!! Angels on Bare Skin looks awful and smells awful, but my goodness, it certainly works!!!

I Wasn't Too Sure By The Look Of The Lush Angels O
I wasn't too sure by the look of the Lush Angels on Bareskin Facial Wash. It is a green-white paste. I was however amazed at the effects after I tried it! It is so refreshing (a great wake-up call if you can't be bothered to be dragged out of bed)! It makes skin smooth, moisturised (ground almonds), and blemish-free (lavender). It is good for all skin types, and it does its job so fantastically! The only downside is that it is tricky to mix the paste with water at times, not that is a big problem though! You will soon find yourself addicted!

A While Ago I Moved Into A Shared House Where The
A while ago I moved into a shared house where the majority of the girls were addicted to all sorts of Lush products.
Soon, I developed the same addiction and am now a devoted fan of their products.
Angels on bare skin does not come in the usual wrapping. It is sold in a little plastic box that breakes easily and the smell of the product might not appeal to everyone. It is also a little difficult to handle because it doesn't have a cream or gel like consistency which makes it a little hard to spread across your face.
For types like me with sensitive and greasy skin, it is the best product I've come across. It gives you the smoothest skin and it stays like this for days. I also had the impression that it balances your skin and makes it less shiny.
Definitely the best product there is.

I Did Not Like Lush Angels On Bareskin. I Do Not
I did not like Lush Angels on Bareskin. I do not feel that it cleanses very well and it is not worth the money. I have oily skin and it is supposed to be for any type of problem skin. It does exfoliate dead skin but it does not cleanse very well. I think it's all hype. I bought lots of their products to try out, and I have not been very happy with them.

Lush Angels On Bareskin - Us Women Don't Have An E
Lush Angels on Bareskin - Us women don't have an easy life do we? Our bathrooms are normally full of lotions and potions that we hope will give us perfect skin and keep us younger and more youthful looking. For as long as I can remember I have had weird skin that tolerates very few beauty products. Cleansers have always been a complete no-no for me, as everything I have tried has caused an eruption of spots, lumps, bumps and itchy red rashes. I had resigned myself to a life of cleansing with Jonhson's Baby Lotion, as it is the only thing that does not cause a reaction on my skin. That is until now. It is no secret that I have a Lush addiction. Up until recently I have only tried their bubble baths, soaps and bath ballistics but after a recommendation by a friend, I decided to try some of their skincare range.
Deciding what to buy was at first a bit of a minefield. The skincare page on the Lush website is a confusing place to be for your first delve into the world of cleansers after such a long time away from this type of thing. Lush have a wonderful range of solid bar cleansers, creams, and rough cleansers with small grains to act as an exfoliator and I was spoiled for choice. In the end I purchased four products, one of each type, and one extra just for luck, and headed off to the virtual cashier to pay my money.
Angels on Bareskin is a cleanser and exfoliator all rolled into one. Normally Lush package all their skincare in a distinctive black tub but for some reason Angels on Bareskin comes in a really tacky, flimsy, clear plastic container with an equally tacky cheap looking white lid. Although this is quite clearly pointed out on the website, I still felt a little disappointed when I saw the packaging for the first time but I suppose you can always find a pretty looking pot to put it in to match the rest of your toiletries!
Not only is the packaging a bit of a let down, but the first time I opened the pot of Angels on Bareskin I could quite easily have thrown it away in disgust. It really is an ugly looking piece of cleanser and the smell to put it bluntly is not nice. Resembling a piece of putty or playdough, Angels on Bareskin just lays in the tub looking ugly and doing nothing. It is a sage green/grey colour and has a rough sticky texture and almost slimy when it is held in the hands. Flip the pot upside down and its even more bizarre. Small pieces of lavender flower petals are stuck to the bottom of the pot, as well as being scattered on the cleanser itself. The whole shebang is like something my daughter has made out of a few flour petals and playdough and shoved in a pot. The Angels on Bareskin conjures up such nice pictures and the cleanser really isn't pretty at all. I really am not a fan of lavender as it reminds me of old ladies, and the first time I opened the pot I was all ready to give it to my grandmother because of the quite overpowering smell, but decided to give it a go before I handed it over.
Angels on Bareskin has to be smoothed across the face after it has been dampened with water. I find that the easiest thing to do is to take a pea sized amount and soften it in your wet hands before applying it to the face, as this makes it more pliable and easier to mould and manage. The addition of ground almonds in the cleanser makes it gritty and it really is similar to rubbing sand into the skin. Although Lush insist that ground almonds provide the exfoliating granules in the cleanser, there really is no evidence of almonds in the smell as lavender is the only aroma I can detect from the product. Angels on Bareskin contains rose absolute that helps to soften the skin, and the addition of glycerine helps the skin absorb and retain moisture. So do all these claims work? Well yes they do, and although Angels on Bareskin is not a pretty product to look at, it is one of the best cleansers I have ever used.
The results from this gritty, smelly muck are really amazing. The first time I used it, my skin felt wonderful immediately afterwards. After washing the cleanser off with warm water my face had a smoothness I have not experienced since my teens. I have used other exfoliators before and although my skin has felt better, nothing has had the same effect as using this regularly. After using Angels on Bareskin for less than a week, my skin improved dramatically. It now has a smoothness I have never before experienced, and there are no signs of rough or bumpy skin anywhere. Added to that a healthy glow and my skin not only looks better, it feels wonderful and I would thoroughly recommend it for daily use. I tend to use it morning and evening and only ever use a small splodge on my fingertip, so a little of this goes a long, long way. I've had my 100g pot for about two months now and there's still half of it left, so that will give you some indication of how long a pot of this will last if used twice a day. Angels on Bareskin can be purchased in two sizes - 100g costing £3.95 or 200g for £7.90 so if your face could do with a bit of pampering go and get some now.
The moral of this story? Don't be fooled by a beauty product when it looks revolting. Angels on Bareskin is the best cleanser ever despite its ugly appearance, it is inexpensive and lasts for ages.
