Not Bothered

My daughter sent a complaint about her treatment a Uni to the OIA.

The OIA took months to tell her that she had not cxompleted the UNI's complaint process and dismised her case.

My daughter has a mental disability and the UNI complaints process was not made clear to her, the OIA were given letters showing how confusing this was.

They ignored these documents including a doctors letter saying how her condition affects her.

One of the OIA's officers even made a statement of how her disability affected her although he is not qualified to do this.

Of course by the time all this was done she can no longer complaint further to the UNI.

Another independant body similar to the Local Government Ombudsman that needs shutting down and a fairer system produced.

Useless

Tried to complain about the way I have been treated as I am disabled, they said I had not completed the uni complaints process despite sending to them conflicting Emails I had been sent saying that if I wanted to take my complaint further I would need to send it to the OIA.

One of their officers made a statment of how he thought my disability affected me despite not being qualified to make this statement.

Also because of the time the OIA have took it turning away my complaint I cannot now complain further to the uni.

This organisation needs to be closed as you cannot challenge any of their decisions without a judicial review (which no one can afford to do)

We need a better and fairer organisation to investigate student complaints.

Allegedly Negligent And Unfair

The OIA for Higher Education is a total joke. When I complained about a university the OIA reached a decision before I had chance to send my evidence into them., A fair decision I think not. When I tried to complain they refused to look into my complaint because it was over 3 months since I raised a complaint with them despite one of their staff behaving allegedly negligently by reaching a decision prior to evidence being presented.

I tried to raise the issue with the OIA by they do not want to know and keep terminating calls I make to their office raising issues I have with them. The OIA for Higher Education are allegedly ineffective, negligent and unfair. A total joke and should be abolished.
