Clinton Cards

Required a greeting card for my friend. It was a busy shop, I figured a range of cards were bad in a hurry so just grabbled and paid for them. It is too costly.

I ordered a card and paid extra for courier delivery, as I needed to send it quickly.

The card, like the others I'd bought, was beautiful, but the insert was upside down, so unusable.

I fired off an angry email and got an immediate response.

Because I was extremely upset, the lovely lady found another similar card, read out the verses, and hand wrote it for me, promising to send it by 1st class post.

I also received an immediate refund of delivery charge and card cost via PayPal.

I ordered for Balloons with Helium for special event At the end the Cashier only put normal air in which was a waste of time. I should of ask for a sample first before paying. I took the Balloons back and got a refund.

I just bought a Christmas card for my wife, I was in a rush and had to get home to wrap my wife's present before she got home from work especially as we have agreed not to buy each other this year. £6 pounds!! She asked at the till!! I was a bit embarrassed and just payed but I feel silly for buying it now! How do they sleep at night charging that much...probably very well. It doesn't normally bother me but it's just morally wrong to charge that much!

Needed a card for my girlfriend and a card from my two step kids to there mum it was the nearest card shop to me,was quite busy,thought the selection of cards where poor was in a rush so just grabbed what I could paid for them charged me 8 pound for two crappy cards told the member of staff that's really expensive she just shrugged will not be buying anything from there again!!

It's very easy to post bad feedback about Clintons - A lot of the stores do look shabby and the range is dated versus the likes of paperchase, but I was in there the other day and they couldn't have been better.

I was very shaken after getting news that my God mother had died and Clinton's was the closest card shop. I wasn't really in a fit state for shopping, but the staff were so helpful. They could see that I was distressed and Julie (I think that was her name) showed me what they had card wise and read the messages to help me pick.

The staff were truly phenomenal. I doubt I'd get that anywhere else and I am so grateful. They made an awful day a tiny bit better and I can't thank them enough!

ordered a personalised 30th bday card for my girlfriend; 9 days before to allow plenty of time for delivery as her name is never on cards in shops. 11 days later; still no card!!! they can take money from your bank instantly but cant send you the product you pay for in even triple the stated time of delivery!! complete let down!

wanted my girlfriend to have a special keepsake bday card as its a milestone bday but it seem like clintons online are unable to run a business that is anywhere near acceptable.

the cards they sell in their stores are good although overpriced compared to most other brands/stores but normally i pay the extra; i think from now on i'll do the same online and pay more with rivals such as moon pig or funky pigeon and know i wont be let down!

I ordered birthday cake candles, gifts, party decorations and a birthday card from Clintons online and was charged for them the same day despite the fact they were not even dispatched until a week later, almost two weeks on and I'm still awaiting delivery. The birthday has been and gone and a second lot of decorations had to be brought on the day of the party.

Constructive Dismissal

If I want a nice greeting card I usually go to Clinton's because they have nice cards, funny cards and serious cards with plenty of choice.
