the website is terrible. I never get by after 1 page. it always tells me website not responding it freezes again and again. tooo bad because its nice to shop online.

Terrible Treatment

My mum and gran took me to toys r us in craigleith in Edinburgh today for a treat after my hospital appointment today.im only 10 , my mum had picked up Christmas tree decorations and key rings with my name on it because my name is never usually on anything, she wanted to buy them for me, and was walking around the shop with them in her hand, then a member of staff came over to us and said if your not going to buy them put them back, we still has other stuff we wanted to buy and he accused me of stealing one and putting it in my pocket, I would never steal and this has really upset me, he told my mum if she wouldn't stop talking she could get out the shop after being accused of being a thief . I would never go back to this shop again, the manager said she was going to speak to him later.

Cannot Be Trusted! Will Never Buy From Again

I purchased an item for over £200 - it arrived having been opened and scratched/marked. We had to wait 2 days for collection of the damaged item. The courier then failed to show up! We complained and only received a generic response - advising us we'd need to wait a further 2 days for another collection...We received the replacement item a week later...which unbelievably was again very badly scratched! We obviously couldnt trust ToysRUs and requested to return the item in store and collect a 'NEW' replacement item, however this wasnt possible. We had to wait yet again for another collection date, then for the damaged item to be 'received' by ToysRUs (a week!) then wait 3 working days for our refund. The refund never came. We have had to request our refund again and are 'still' waiting...all this has taken over a month, we still have no much needed item and no refund. ToysRUs literally do not care, not even when you complain.

Many of HR managers are quitting, because they doing two jobs now. They are supervisor for front-in-Service desk and not get increase the pay.

To get on full-time with Toys R Us you would have be a Manager or supervisor. They don't want to pay Obama care so you can only work part-time. So Quality goes down customer service.

Don't Have Them Ship Anything

I am LIVID! I ordered a baby monitor for my daughter's baby shower. I got their "free" shipping. What they do not tell the consumer is that they mail the item with "Direct Signature Required." I have three days I am supposed to sit around my house waiting for my item or it gets sent back to Toys R Us. OR, I get to leave work and find a Fed Ex store and go pick my item up. But now I have to wait 2 days for it to get re-routed there. This is inconvenient to anyone who has a job and takes a bus to work. What a ridiculous policy! I would have driven to the store if I knew it was going to be such a hassle to straighten this out. Nothing is FREE. I will not be dealing with them again. AMazon will be my choice!

Replacement Item

Ordered item online and went into Store to collect following receipt of a text message confirming it was available for collection . At store was informed item unavailable and there was a glitch with their computers and I should not have received the text. After some discussions the manager came and agreed to replace the item which was unavailable with a similar alternative at no extra cost.

I think this was ultermstely good customer service.

Gift Card

I ordered a gift card online, which i wanted to send straight to the recipient. There was no option to include a message at the time of ordering, so i contacted toys r us via email after i had placed the order asking if they could add a message to the order, so the recipient would know who it had come from. I was told the order could not be amended even though i had only just placed it 5 mins ago. This communication had to be done via email as there was no phone number in order to call and speak to somebody. Poorly designed website and ordering process and awful customer service.

I Will Never Shop Again At Any Of Their Stores

Purchased thru their toll free number on 11/19/14. Received damaged goods and was promised the "surcharge of $124.99 would be waived". Contacted guest relations 8 times. All of their agents were pleasant, professional and accommodating on the phone and promised this would be rectified. The guest relations agents hands were tied though-supervisors failed to either contact me back (4 no return calls or emails)or correct the problem. So I kept calling the supervisors. All of them "promised me they would honor the agreement and notify billing dept. to credit me $124.99". The billing dept. seems to be an entity in itself, with no input from supervisors. What was promised to me by Toys R Us supervisors NEVER transpired. Requested supervisors put in writing/email what they told me on the phone. None complied. 12/23/14 was my last contact with them.

Toys r us is a well known company with adverts that are remembral and nice for e.g Magical place ( i'm obsessed with that song) and is a very big store with wonderful deals and brings back a lot of awesome childhood memories ( even though i'm still a child xD )Really good prices for e.g Zoobles Mama & Zoobling playset 4.97 for A LOT Zoobles is awesome! ;)

Worst Company Ever

Shambolic. How this company is still in business is beyond me . We have had the misfortune to have to shop at this store purely because a certain toy was unavailable elsewhere . In future we will avoid this company like the plague . The sooner it goes into liquidation the better .
