We Bought A Buin Zia 3 Wheelled Pushchair And It I

We bought a Buin Zia 3 wheelled pushchair and it is the biggest waste of money we have ever had. There are a number of issues with it firstly: the handles do not always stayed locked in position and often drop to the lower postion. Secondly: You can not lay the baby down if she falls to sleep sat up, unless you take child out of the pushchair, lay it back and then put child back in. Thirdly: the back wheels can come off easily if you go over a small stone and after only four months the frame is starting to bend so the handles have to be in the highest position all the time. My daughter is not two yet and is only small so no way should this be happening. Toys r us will not replace it only send it for repair, so we have purchased a new Silvercross buggy (not from toys r us) and the Zia will be repaired and disposed of. Is 4 months now the life span of a pushchair at the cost of £150.00. I know it was not the most expensive of pushchairs but would at least expect to get longer than that out of it. Would i recommened this pushchair?? NO WAY!!!

Overall Great Buggy. My Granddaughter Is 3 1/2yrs

Overall great buggy. My granddaughter is 3 1/2yrs old now and she has had 6 buggies in that time, and by far the best, and still going strong, is the pink and navy striped Sprinter, bought when she was only a few months old.

I Bought A Zen Bruin Stroller From Babies R Us In

I bought a Zen Bruin stroller from Babies R Us in February 2007 for 79.99. The biggest waste of money I have ever spent on a stroller!!

The hood doesn't stay on, the foot strap has broken, and Babies R Us will mend the strap, but at a cost. The lock didn't lock, resulting in my hand getting caught in the stroller!!! And all these faults developed 3 - 4 months after purchasing the stroller. I am disgusted at the fact that they refused to replace the stroller.

I will NEVER be purchasing a Bruin make stroller again.

I Contacted Babies R Us, And They Were Of No Help

I contacted Babies R Us, and they were of no help at all. All they want to do is repair the Bruin Sprinter pushchair, and not give me a replacement or a refund. They will not even give me a spare buggy to get around if I have this one fixed! I feel that these things should not be happening in the first 3 months of buying the stroller. I have four children of different ages, and I have never come across a stroller as bad as this one. I will not shop in Babies R Us again either, as they were not helpful at all, and they have left me high and dry. If the problems persist I will have no choice but to take the matter further.

We Have A Double Buggy For The Twins, But We Decid

We have a double buggy for the twins, but we decided to get two single buggies as well for when I'm not on my own, and to make it easier when we go into town on the bus, as getting on the bus with the double buggy is sometimes difficult.

I looked around at various buggies and narrowed down to two. The Bruin Sprinter and a Mamas and Papas buggy. I decided to get the Bruin Sprinter as it was cheaper, and we didn't have a lot of money. I have had the buggies for six months and things are not looking very good. I think we will need to replace them soon, as they feel and sound like they are ready to fall apart!!

-----Features-----

*Available in 2 colours: candy stripes (pink) or ocean stripes (blue).

*Suitable from 3 months

*Lightweight

*Umbrella fold

*Lockable front swivel wheels

*Front and rear suspension

*4 position backrest

*Foam handles

*5 point harness

*Maximum user weight 15kg

-----Storage-----

The buggy is umbrella folding and doesn't take up hardly any room. If you are leaning the buggy against something you should make sure the brakes are on properly though, or it will just fall over.

-----Backrest-----

The backrest has four different positions but does not lie totally flat, but it does lie flat enough for the baby to sleep comfortably in. It is easy enough to lie the seat back; you just pull the leavers up on either side of the seat and recline as far back as you want it. After six months the catches on the seat are starting to go. I sometimes have to try 2 to 4 times to sit them up before the seat catches into place, which is not very good. Also, sometimes the seat comes loose at one side when they are moving about.

-----Handles-----

The handles are made of foam and are comfortable to hold while pushing the buggy, but one is now starting to split, which doesn't look very good.

-----Brakes-----

The brakes are easy to put on and take off, but because of where they are situated, it can cause a problem when you try to get up and down stairs with them, as you end up putting the brake on, which is a pain. We also tend to put the brakes on while we are walking, which is also very annoying!!

-----Price-----

The buggy costs £39.99 from Babies R Us, but you have to buy the hood and raincover separately, which are £14.99.

-----What I think-----

I bought this buggy because I thought it was a reasonable price to pay for a second buggy, and it looks nice. I am very disappointed with the buggy as it hasn't lasted very long. If I had neglected the buggy I could understand it starting to fall apart after 6 months, but we had looked after them well, so I can't understand why they haven't lasted. I would not recommend this buggy to anyone. It would definitely be worth paying a bit extra for a more expensive buggy, because it would work out very expensive if you had to replace a buggy every six months!!

I hope this review has helped.

I bought the Bruin Sprinter too, and I have had exactly the same problems. The worst thing is Toys R Us won't do anything about it, as it only has a 3 month warranty. I am ashamed to take the buggy out with its squeaking wheels and split handles!!

RachLou

I have a bruin sprinter buggy which we bought for a holiday. The rain cover and hood are on offer at babies r us, and come free with the pushchair making it £39.99 total. For occasional use it's just what you need for the job but after a week in tenerife I think our baby's bones were rattled as there is no comfort to its suspension. When dropping it down a kerb the brake scraped the kerbstone which is a bad design fault but seems to be standard on most buggys.

If you want a buggy for occasional days out or holidays this is great for the money and it looks nice. Its very lightweight and small and almost identical to maclaren - but cheaper. I think its good value but not what I'd use all the time, my baby deserves a more comfortable ride the rest of the time.
