Britax B-Smart

We've had a b smart 3 for 6 months and have had no problems, the pram (carrycot) has been very usefull and is very comfy, started using the pushchair at 4 months as she wanted to sit up but still fit in the carry cot till 6 months. Travel syatem is well built and sturdy, a bit heavy and not advised for use on public transport unless its a low access bus where you don't have to put the pram down.

Good for contry walks and works on all terrain even sand!

Its not cheap but get a package deal and overall was £450 for everything including carrycot, pushchair, chassy, carseat, cosytoes and raincovers

Good pram but you'll need a big boot and a large place at home to store this.

Fantastic whilst it was usable! Build quality, ease of use and functionality are very good, hence the 4 star rating. I have only rated the Britax B-Smart 3 one star for value, as you cannot use it as a pushchair after 9-10 months, as the straps are too short and there is no more adjustment! The B-Smart is meant to be designed to cope with kids up to 15kg, but my son is 10kg and 10 months old. Britax offer an adjustable clip on harness as a 'workaround' and are working on a more permanent solution. This for us was not acceptable for the money we paid and have since had a full refund. BE AWARE!

Currently on our third replacement as have had nothing but problems with this travel system. The first one sent had a faulty front wheel that kept falling off. The second one we were sent, one of the clips broke off within a week but we persevered with it regardless. After a few months of use it became increasingly difficult to remove and replace the car seat & recliner. Britax have ignored my email but the retailer (Glasgow Pram Centre) has now sent a third replacement chassis - but for a different model that has been phased out and has clearly been well used. Think I'll give up & try a different manufacturer. Product is 6 months old, warranty is worthless, wouldn't even give it away!

We have had the B-Smart for just over a month now, and apart from wanting more accessories, we can't fault it.

Pro's - versatile, stylish, good build quality, roomy when in use & packs down small when not. We took it camping with our 2 month old, and it coped with all the joys of camping in England...need I say more?

Con's - could do with a few more optional accessories, cup holders, off-road tyres, & softer belt pads for starters...

Summary - An excellent travel system, offers all day comfort for parent & baby. frame works well with B-Safe SHR car seat aswell, which is ideal for short trips to shops or similar.
