Britax B Smart 4

Sadly we wasted £600 + on a britax b smart 4. We spent alot of time reasurching and deciding on what travel system to go for.

Basically before I begin our daughter was born 3 monthe early, so when she finally came home we did not go far & when we did go out it was mostly for hospital appointments.

In short - we went through 2 Britax baby safe shr 11 car seats, we declined the 3rd one opting for the birth to 4 years, as both times the handle broke, which meant you could not carry the car seat. We did see ourselves off here as it ment she could not be put straight onto the wheels - but frustrated!

The pushchair - straps were far to short for our 4 month prem baby to sit in with the cosy toes, Britax gave us a clippi safe which makes the 5 point baby safe harness redundent, the baby had to sit eith two lots of harnesses, one which dug into her back and was uncomfortable.

The wheels - squeeked, the break worked on its own terms, and often not at all, advised on how to clean the wheels - they were not dirty as not really used, which mage it un usable as all the wheels seized up.

We were eventually given a new set of wheels and push chair (black thunder). The rep assured us we would not have any problems. The straps are not that much longer, and I do not believe when my baby reaches one she will fit into it. And to top it off only 3 of the 4 wheels touch the ground, the foruth wheel only touches the ground when you go over something uneven and it catches, as a result it shakes, the pushchair is unsafe to use, as it is uneven to push.

It is not with joy I have written this, but with regret as Britax was a brand I believed I could trust, however it has left me very dissapointed.

I have tried 3 times to get a successful model of this pram. First one, the seat would not lay flat kept sticking on last but one setting. Second one turned up all scratched and marked. Third one, brilliant I thought seat works fine all bits present and NEW (no scratches), so time to test it out. Not had my baby yet, so needed to borrow one!!! Ahh! ring friend with a 7 month old - perfect! Off we go... just a short walk no shopping no changing bag. Up over a few kirbs and along the pavements turn around at the top of the road, very pleased lovely to push easy to steer, until! on the way back my friend says "Are those wheels supposed to turn outwards at the back?" - almost as though they have splayed. Needless to say being returned as we speak! Anyone had a good one or have I just been very unlucky?
