Jane Nomad Rebel Pro Travel System

This has been a fantastic buy. We bought the Jane Nomad with Auto Pro Carrycot, Rebel Pro Car seat, Footmuffs to match, Raincover and Changing bag.

The Auto Pro Carrycot was great to use from birth as we did not want our baby curled up in a car seat. He could sleep lying flat in the car and then clip directly onto the chassis without being disturbed. The Carrycot is very large and we used this until he was 7 months as a pram (only 3 months as a car seat). Very easy to install in the car when you get the hang of it.

The Rebel Pro Car Seat was used from 3 months, he has recently outgrown this at 1 year old and has moved into the next stage car seat. Simple to install and clicks onto chassis using 'Pro-fix' system.

I should note that the carrycot and car seat did feel slightly wobbly when attached, we took it to the pram shop where it was purchased in case it was a fault but this is normal to allow for some movement if the pram is suddenly jolted.

The Nomad pushchair has removable fabric allowing it to be used as a travel system. The fabric can then be attached to use as a pushchair. This can be fiddly to attach all the fixings but our local pram shop did this for us.

The basket is very large, easy to access when using the car seat but when carrycot is on this reduces the access space, it is easy however to lift the carrycot off to put any large items in and reconnect it. When in pushchair mode the basket can be accessed easily when the seat is upright but is difficult when fully reclined.

Two hands are required to fold and unfold the pushchair, it is a simple folding technique once you have done it once or twice.

The adjustable backrest is very good as it isn't 3 set positions like many other pushchairs, you can slide it to any position you wish. It does not recline completely flat, I would say to an angle of around 10 degrees.

The fabric is very padded and comfy, I looked at many prams and this really was the most comfortable one I seen. The seat unit is huge, it truely will last until your child is 4 (unlike many prams where the child grows out of it at 18 months and you end up using a stroller).

The pram is *very* easy to steer. You literally could turn it on the spot using your little finger if you wanted. I never appreciated how good it was until I tried a couple of other pushchairs which felt like pushing a tank.

The chassis isn't huge when folded but won't fit in smaller boots. It nearly fills the boot of our peugeot 307.

The footmuff is one of the best around, it is really warm and cosy and has a hook over on the back to stop it sliding down the seat unit.

The raincover is very simple to use and secure in place and is well made with access available to your baby without removing the cover.

The only problem I have had with this is the basket sometimes getting caught in the footrest when I'm folding it, you just need to push the basket in a bit further then it folds no problem.

This would be 10/10 and my ideal pram if it was also parent facing. I've found this matters to me a lot more than I realised so I've recently bought a parent facing pushchair. The seat unit on this isn't huge so I don't expect to get much use out of it and will go back to using the Nomad until he no longer needs a pushchair.
