Very Sturdy But Heavy At The Same Time!
I got one of these as my sister recommended it. At first it was lovely, as the pram setting seemed so nice and comfy, but then my daughter got to about 5 weeks and I had to put her in the forward facing pushchair as she got to big for the pram. Its need to be made alot bigger! The pushchair is very sturdy but it is extremely heavy and bulky. Its quite difficult to lift in and out of the car, and as for pushing with one hand it is impossible. I think silvecross need to redesign these, especially with the amount of the money they are asking for it.

I've Had My 3d For Just Over 4 Years And I Am Now
I've had my 3D for just over 4 years and I am now using it with my 3rd child! In general I have found this pushchair great. As a pram it is lovely and cosy and as a pushchair, my children have always seemed very comfortable- have spent many hours fast asleep in it! My little boy is too big for it now at 2 1/2. I am now using it again as a travel system with the Ventura car seat which I have also used with my older children. Alot of people have mentioned that the car seat is quite heavy but i feel it is also sturdy/solid and as it's main function is to keep baby safe in an accident, I think the weight is fine!
The main negative point I have is regarding the handles-I have found that the top layer of rubber has worn away, so in warmer weather the handles get sticky, leaving black stuff on your hands- this happened after the first year or so. Asked Silvercross if I could get replacement handles but their only response was they could pick it up and service it for about £40 so long as I put it on a box!! Only over problem is the folding mechani gets stiff sometimes, however, have found that just need to polish (with normal furniture polish) the frame etc and this is rectified!
Overall, this pushchair has been a very good purchase.

This Buggy Looks Good But I'm Sure You Could Get A
This buggy looks good but I'm sure you could get a more practical one.
The pram mode is too small, my 9lb bby anever got the use out of the pram mode as he was too long and I felt it was too shallow and dangerous to leave him in it. The shopping basket is awful to access, you could never fit anything too bulky into it. The buggy it's self it very heavy. It is impossible to steer with one hand. The brake I would never trust as it seems to unclick at anytime - dangerous!!!
The accessories that you get with this are good and the car seat is sturdy, but again is rather heavy

At First I Loved My Silvercross 3d Jet Sport, Then
at first i loved my silvercross 3d jet sport, then the problems started when my son was about 6 months old. oit became really rickerty, the brakes where really flimsy and the lying down mechanism broke which got repaid with no fuss - fine, but then i was in a hackney we stopped (the brakes where firmly locked on as i always make sure as they can be flimsy) my elder son opened the door the brakes unlocked by themselves the pram and my baby went flying out of the taxi with the pram ontop of my son on the pavement banging his head and spliting his lips! this is a dangereous pram the brakes do not work DO NOT BUY THIS PRAM!

Horrid! It Is Impossible To Push It Around And Bit
Horrid! It is impossible to push it around and bits by bits it has fallen into pieces. When I first bought this thing I recommended it to a friend (worst advise ever) she had the exact same problems than me and hates it as much. Whatever you do DO NOT BUY IT! I just cannot believe they are still selling it!

hi love my silver cross 3d ,,,,,and would highly recomened it my son is 11 months old and i have been using it on a daily basis since he was first born and had no problems with it ,,,the pram mode for new borns is the most padded and comfortable in any pram/travel sytem iv seen or used ,,,the car seat he is still in although he is due in the next few weeks to go up into a forward facing one more due to his weight than actual size of car seat and i found it to be easy to clip into the travel sytem fixings,,,he went into the forward facing pram mode at 5 months and is still very happy in there now all the extras that come with it ie,,cosy toes and hood for car seat and,,,rain cover and cosy toes for pramett mode and cosy toes for pram were very easy to fit adn are just fantastic quality alot of the reviews on here say its very heavy to push and i do agree but many atime iv seen older babys toddler lean over in lighter weight prams and they have tipped with ease i can load up my silver cross with shopping bag after shopping bag and that pram has never tipped on me also there seems to be alot of reviws saying the chasis has bent i always colapse down and put it up correctly and have had no probs with it at all ,,,,i dont think it is to big either i have a modest sized car and have no prob getting it in and out even when i first had my son and i had a c/section,,,, i love my silver cross and would recomend it to anyone i believe silver cross really are the rolls royce of prams and would never use another make and i plan to use mine until my son doesnt require a pram at all x

I Have The Pistachio 3d Silver Cross, And The Only
i have the pistachio 3d silver cross, and the only problems i have had is it was a bit hard to fold down in pram mode with a cosy toes in aswell! and the brakes sometimes release themselves if they arent clicked in properly, iv figured that if you press both down it stops this from happening!
its a great looking pram, a little heavy, BUT its very sturdy.
we changed it to forward facing when my son was about 2 + 1/2 month old as he was quite a big baby and also liked looking round. he is now 7months and still using the pram, with no issues, my son still has plenty of room to move around and is happy when in the pram.
i have recommended to friends who have bought the pram and they love it too and have had no problems with it, and i would reccomend it to anyone!

My Son Is Now Four Months Old And I Love This Syst
My son is now four months old and I love this system ... very easy to use keeps him very very cozy and secure. We're getting used to forward facing just now but he loves it as he's so nosey.
I'm quite a fast walker and it responds well to the speed and is very easy to push.
The car seat is very sturdy which ok it may be heavy but it gives me great confidence that my son is very safe in the car!
Wish I'd noticed it had a side handle four months ago ... was very difficult getting it in & out of the car but that was totally my own fault!

Silver Cross 3d - Nightmare To Use. My Son Grew O
Silver Cross 3D - Nightmare to use. My son grew out of the pram mode after 10 weeks and he is not a big baby by any means. Fitting the car seat into the car was a nightmare, fitting it onto the buggy was just as bad. Car seat is also twice the weight of competitor seats and much more bulky but yet there is less room for baby. In front facing mode, it is is also quite small, you will need to buy another buggy once your child is one. Difficult to steer and handles too short for anyone over 5'8". Parent tray inaccessible. Difficult to fold. Difficult to fit into my (estate) car boot due to the shape when folded. Difficult to unfold. Heavy. There are 2 hoods, 3 foot muffs, three inserts and a rain cover for the 3D system - all of which are a pain to fit and a nuisance to store. You will spend a good 5-10 minutes getting your child out of the car and into the pram/buggy everytime you go out somewhere in the car. The poppers for the foot muff are terrible and it falls off all the time. Don't even attempt to take it across anything other than perfectly flat and even tarmac.
My in laws steered us towards and bought us the Silver Cross 3D and I wish they had just left us to choose our own buggy that suited our needs. After 4 months of wrestling with this awful contraption, I bought a Britax Vigour buggy and car seat with an Isofix in the January sales and it is the best money I have ever spent.

Have Used This Silver Cross 3d Pushchair A Conside
have used this Silver Cross 3D pushchair a considerable amount but not every day, since my daughter was born, she is 9 months old now and it has broken.
one of the pins has shattered that holds the x frame on the underside, this causes the pushchair to collapse during use
can i get it fixed for free with it being in the 12 month guarantee?
no.
its such a shame because until this point i thought it was fantastic.
The ventura car seat however, that everyone is complaining that their children no longer fit in, is excellent, my daughter is on the 9%line for weight and 90% for height, so she is a little skinny long thing, and she is still fine in it, the only problem with it is it is rather heavy, however, i think this is a good thing when its protecting your child :o)
