I hired a TENS machine from Hi-Baby and used it during labour. The TENS machine is excellent, I used it from the start of the early contractions for around 20 hours, by which time I had been 'stuck' at 6cm dilation for around 8 hours. After this it was recommended that I take the synto drip so I also decided to have an epidural at that time. The TENS machine gives you a sense of control because you have something that works with your body to manage the contractions. You can clip the little control onto your clothes so it is really easy to move around and do whatever else you want during the labour (apart from have a shower / bath / use a birthing pool, as the TENS is electric). It is easy to set up following the instructions and the control is easy to operate. I planned to practice using it before going into labour however I didn't get round to it. In the end my contractions started when I was on my own so I went home and set it up then and it worked well.

Hi-Baby provided a professional and easy service, they sent the TENS machine out the next day after I had hired it and they provide a return envelope so it is easy to send it back once you've used it.

Excellent service all round after ordering i found out the company was closed for holidays but they upgraded the machine for me at no extra cost . I hired from 20 weeks so I could listen and make sure my baby was doing ok. really helped so I would recommend hiring one . and this is the company to hire from.

Good value for money. I did not want to buy a machine in case I didn't end up using it. I was 37 weeks the week before Christmas so company emailed me to say they would dispatch early to ensure it arrived on time but at no extra cost.

Everything you need is included, easy to follow instructions. Baby arrived at 41 weeks used the machine through out labour.

Returned to company last week in the pre paid envelope and received email today to say it had been received.

Definitely will recommend hiring a machine from this company.

Got the rental at week 37 of pregnancy and at a great price - for something you will only need once (unless you plan on having more).

The instructions were easy to understand and how to return the machine was really easy, with the free post envelope provided.

I hired a TENS machine for my labour, requesting a prompt delivery as I was nearing my due date. The machine was dispatched straight away, arriving in a sturdy case. The instructions were very clear and all components were as expected and in good condition. I would certainly recommend Hi Baby and have no complaints.

I hired the fetal heart monitor for all my pregnancies and each time I had excellent equipment. They were even very understanding if I forgot to make the monthly payment on time. I could hear beat clearly from as early as 8 weeks. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to use my tens longer than 10min as the clip was placed on the baby's head to monitor her heartbeat and the tens would have interfered with the machine so had to take it off.
