Do Not Buy This Product! We Bought This Monitor Be

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! We bought this monitor before our baby girl was born, and trying it out before she arrived it seemed to work fine. For 3 months we didnt have many problems with it (it always made a crackling noise but eventually we got used to it). Since then however all we have had is VERY loud interferance. Nothing has changed, and yet now it doesnt work. This isnt the cheapest babymonitor around, and I would say definately dont waste your money on it!!!!

As A New Mum I Was Looking For Some Assurance That

As a new mum I was looking for some assurance that when I left my litlle girl upstairs napping i would be able to leave her with confidence but, i am sorry to say that the Tomy Walkabout Classic's did not allow me to feel this. Although they are easily portable with batteries and a large waste clip no matter where I was in my home there was a lot of interference. I came to the conclusion we may be living too near to a mast but when I took them round my friends they were no different. Personally, I would say if you can afford that little bit extra to upgrade to the premier its well worth it!!

We Were Brought Our Tomy Classic Baby Monitor As A

We were brought our Tomy Classic baby monitor as a gift before our little girl was born and when we tried it out it was great......But now our daughter is here we have had no end of trouble with them. We only had them for 2 weeks before our daughter was born and only used them that once, so how can a seemingly trusted company still be offering these monitors when they obviously do not work?

My Tomy Walkbout Classic Kept Cutting Out, Losing

My Tomy Walkbout Classic kept cutting out, losing pairing, and susseptible to interference.

Just awful. 20 years ago when was a child, we used to have a pair of kids walkie talkies that me and my mates played with. We never seemed to have half of the problems with those that we have had with the Tomy Walkabout classic.

I find the baby's end cuts out (even on mains), both radios keep unpairing, and the interference sounds awful.

In my opinion Tomy would have trouble palming this off as a decent toy for kids, let alone something that I'm meant to put my faith in to monitor my baby.

It has one job to do, and I feel it cant even do that.

I Bought A Tomy Walkabout Classic Because They Wer

I bought a Tomy walkabout classic because they were an established brand and it had all the features I required in a baby monitor. I found that the monitor worked well for a certain amount of time and then the interference that first started occurring sporadically and rarely became more and more frequent.

I found that going to bed with the monitor on was not an option, as the noise would drive me crazy. One night my husband even threatened to through it out the window. Neither of us would be light sleepers in anyway but this was so loud and frequent that we ended up having to turn it of.

When I complained to Tomy I was instructed to post it to them at my own expense and then they would either fix or replace the unit. I think they expected me to go without a baby monitor while they had it for 4-6 weeks.

Would I have bought it in the first place if I could do this? I would never recommend or use Tomy products again.

I Wouldn't Recommend The Tomy Walkabout Classic Ba

I wouldn't recommend the Tomy Walkabout Classic baby monitor. We bought it based on the Tomy brand, but we have had terrible trouble with it. We have found it frustrating to use and generally unreliable.

The Tomy Walkabout Classic Is A Brilliant Monitor

The Tomy Walkabout Classic is a brilliant monitor which does what it says on the box. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you live in a house with thick granite walls and have a lot of wireless equipment which can interfere with other types of monitor. Much better than any digital. The sound is clear even on a low setting. There is a little interference but nothing to worry about, and you can even hear the baby breathe when you are in the garden. The only setback is that if you do not plug it in wherever you are it uses batteries quite quickly. A very cheap, reassuring and reliable monitor.

I Would Have To Say That Tomy Walkabout Classic Is

I would have to say that Tomy Walkabout Classic is a total waste of money. It worked quite well for about 3 weeks and now hardly operates at all either on battery or on mains. Intereference is absolutely dreadful and sometimes no reception at all can be achieved even if you are in the room next door.

Buy a digital unit. It is worth the money.
