Very Dissappointing

We created a wedding list online with House of Fraser and were initially very disappointed with the poor selection of products available.

When it came to having our items delivered around 50% of the stock had either been discontinued or House of Fraser were unable to source them from warehouses.

The items were delivered 3 months after the wedding along with a gift card for the purchased items that were not available.

We then wanted to return items as a mug came chipped and only parts of complete sets were delivered. Communications from House of Fraser were poor. Parcels were picked up on 11th November by a courier arranged by House of Fraser, only to be delivered back to my place of work on 23rd Nov. We had received no communication with House of Fraser during this time.

They have said the courier will be back tomorrow and a gift card issued to the value of the items being returned, so fingers crossed this will finally be the situation resolved!

Too Long And No Stock!

You are made to wait for the new season to start before you can make your list. The reason? So you can receive the current range, the idea is that every thing will be in stock.

Before we were even married, they contacted us to let us know that the towels some one had bought for us had been discontinued, and asked us if it was fine to put the same value on a gift card. This was just the start!

We got married on the 09th August 2014, after the honeymoon we contacted House of Fraser Wedding List to tell them we where ready to receive our gifts. We were told that that not every item was in stock and would be in soon, and would we like to buy are remaining gifts with 20% off. So we picked some of the items that we also liked.

We did not receive any gifts until 9th October 2014! This was only because we contacted House of Fraser Wedding List to ask were the gifts where and told them to send the items they did have.

We needed to send back 4 items back to House of Fraser Wedding List as 2 were chipped. The chipped off bits weren't in the box, meaning they had not been damaged in transit. You have to give 7 days notice when they can pick the item up and not only that its an all day timed slot! 2 items were different to the pictures on the website and did not go with the other items already in our home.

It's now almost November! we have not received all of our goods from House of Fraser Wedding List, we bought or the other missing items. We have now have received another email telling us that the glasses, that were bought in July have been disconnected.

This is not acceptable! The whole point of the list is that they everything is in stock. I really don't think I will be getting any other of my items.

If you want to make a wedding list I would recommend you do it else where please!

Very Helpful, Easy To Contact

House of fraser were so helpful with our wedding list.

They have gone out their way to help us and I cannot fault them at all.

A couple of our items were discontinued but they sourced them and made sure we got what we wanted.

I cannot praise the Manchester store enough!

Terrible Experience

House of Frasers Gift/ wedding list service was shocking! I have never experienced such bad customer service. I can fully accept that sometimes things go wrong, however I feel that it is the way in which this is dealt with that is important. When a company is in the wrong, you do not expect the manager to be rude, defensive and unhelpful. The higher up the heirarchy you go- the worse the service becomes. I was really dissapointed and upset with the whole experience and the attitude of most senior of staff. Not at all what I would have expected from Frasers. At least with John Lewis your complaint may be taken seriously.

Your disappointment, your assurances, your apologies are ALL undermined by your actions. That's how customer service works, wish someone there understood that.

Absolutely agree. Discovering the exact same thing now. Just trying to find somebody, anybody, in the company who cares enough to try to put things right. Somehow I doubt calling or emailing is going to find me that person, because so far they've been absolutely useless.

Value For Money

My Fiance (now Husband) Wasn't Keen On The Idea Of

My fiance (now husband) wasn't keen on the idea of having a list but the 'Concierge' we met in our local House of Fraser (Croydon) did a great job of convincing him - she was realy helpful suggesting things we might like to add to our list and tips on how to get a good mix for all of our guests - we chose the option of having vouchers as well as gifts which is great as we are still spending them now!

They explained that our delivery would be anytime after 4 weeks from the wedding - we arranged to have it delivered about 6 weeks after the day on a Saturday morning - it felt like Christmas! Would recommend to my friends (in fact have) - it's great to have lots of new things in the kitchen
