Worst Company - Ruined Our Gift Experience

This is the worst company out there! We are now 6 weeks after the wedding, 1 of our products has been discontinued, we have been told one of our products will hopefully be delivered in th next 2 weeks, th rest of our products however have no date as to where. They will be delivered!!!!! We have just moved into a new house and have been without any of our dinnerware that our guests spent a lot of money on.

Any time I try to email the company the advisor is either on holiday, sabbatical or not in the office, even if you reply 15mins after they email you!!

Absolutely shocking!!! Never use this company!

The Worst Service We Have Received From Any Compan, Anywhere

From start to finish the worst service we have ever received from any company. Delivery of the items that were ordered was delayed (no reason). Due to the delay the items were discontinued and went out of stock, so we were given a list of replacement options which were terrible. Then this order wasn't processed. Then it was delayed again. Then the items couldn't be delivered again. No customer service in the mean time - and certainly no evidence of anyone that cares.

When the items eventually did arrive, all bar one of them were broken.

A joke. I only wish there was some way in which I could have this company closed down to save others the disappointment and frustration of dealing with them, in a situation that should be happy and enjoyable. I feel sorry for our friends and relatives who paid money to this company.

I Regret Using Them For My Wedding

I regret using them for my wedding. The site has bugs and lag issues, and when I went to order one of my gists for delivery they told me it would be 8-12 weeks before it arrived in their warehouse, and another few before it would come to my house. When I emailed "my personal advisor" about it I received an automatic email response saying that she was away and to call a number, I called this number during business hours two days in a row multiple times with no answer and no voicemail. I then emailed another email that I could find with no response. I've emailed them again twice today and we'll see. Save yourself and your guests the higher costs and go with Amazon registry

Horrible People

It's unbelievable this shop is still in business. The way they treat their costumers and the vague clauses in their contracts (and return policy) they try to enforce are ridiculous and the audacity of which is only superseded by the arrogance and sheer dishonesty and disinterest of the staff. My advice is to steer well clear of this company.

Absolutely Dreadful - Anyone Else Must Be Better

This website is a total waste of time and a joke, which I am astounded that Selfridges would associate themselves with. They don't offer any of the specials or discounts available on the same products at Selfridges at the same time. They also TAKE UP TO TWELVE WEEKS in theory and SIXTEEN WEEKS in actual practice for a straightforward delivery. They must have the finest working capital situation in the business world.

And that's before you talk about the dreadful website and non-existent customer service. They provide the most clueless telephone service so there's no point in talking to them.

DO NOT SIGN UP HERE if you are getting married. Trust us on this one. We wish we had found reviews like this before. Just ridiculous. They only survive because they would only be used once.

The improvements to profess to have made are sadly still lacking, our wedding was four months ago and yet items remain undelivered. It is now now a point of laughter at the dinner table, my daughter might turn 18 before the gifts arrive.

What beggars believe is that the items are readily available online and could be delivered within a few working days were we to order them ourselves.

Had we read a fraction of these reviews before our wedding we certainly would not have used your services.

Your delays and poor communication Completely defeat the purpose and spirit of wedding gifts. I feel immeasurably sad for the unfortunate marriages that come to an end before you decide to deliver their gifts months late.

Total Rip Off And Disgusting Service.

As the other review below indicates RUN FAST, I wish I had seen this before we signed their terms and conditions.

You think that it will have the same service as Selfridges but this is not correct at all. You sign, they give you prices and then they go up. Exactly the same item may be on display in Selfridges on sale but they will never give this discounted price and never go on sale. They totally hide behind their terms and conditions and treat you as an inconvenience, once signed.

We finally made up our mind and then it took forever to get the goods. You can call and call and they don't care and say it is in the terms and conditions. What nonsense!

They need to offer a decent, honourable service and Selfridges should kick them out as the are besmirching their reputation. They are awful and we will never ever suggest anybody uses them ever. They need to realise they are thankfully not the only game in town and without their Selfridges space they would be nothing.

Best Choice And Service!

We were looking for a flexible service as we were planning to buy a house after the wedding and didn't know what we would need. We had been to nearly evry wedding list service in town and just felt like we would have to do all the work ourselves, until we went to Selfridges. Our consultant helped us a build a list but explained we could change our mind after the wedding and didn't need to place our order right away. We only found our dream house more than a year after our wedding and once we had, our consultant offered great advice. Once we placed our order, it wasn't quick but we were able to get a lot more choice than everywhere else we had looked so it worked out great.

Run Fast!

They get you in, give prices and then the prices go up. You then are completely locked in by their terms and conditions. You may want a pot that on the main floor is on sale, but NO, they wont give you the discount price!

Total rip off and never ever use them. I wish i had read the reviews before going there.

Dreadful Customer Service, Still Waiting For Some Goods

The web selection was good and the site was relatively straightforward to use, which was why we decided to use The Wedding Shop over John Lewis. We now wish we hadn't. Some of the items our guests ordered turned out to be out of stock/discontinued lines. I guess that is fair enough but I struggle to understand why, over 4 months after returning from our honeymoon and finalising the order, we are STILL waiting for several goods to be delivered. None of them (e.g a wok) are unusual items that could not be found on the high street. Over the months, I have had to repeatedly call and email the shop (in general emails get ignored so you then have to call too). What I speak to someone and they lie and say the goods will be in very shortly I ask them to call me to provide a further update in due course.....and then weeks go by and I hear nothing. Dreadful customer service and appallingly slow delivery. I'm startlingly to nervously wonder whether the shop is in financial difficulty and we might never see our remaining gifts. It certainly won't survive if the format continues to operate in the manner in which we have experienced to date.

Rude Staff Makes This A Terrible Experience

We have had nothing but problems with The Wedding Shop since we signed up. The staff are rude, not knowledgeable and extremely unhelpful. They don't respond to emails and when they do, it is just plain pathetic.

The fact that some of the items our friends and family bought were out of stock is just appalling, and the delivery time is much longer than 10 weeks. Also when the delivery finally came, there were items missing in the boxes, when i emailed about this I got no reply!? And when I called about it, they were rude again!

AVOID at all cost. This last bit of our wedding which is supposed to be pleasant and fun, has just been terrible and left a really sour taste as we feel like we have been cheated and lied to.
