Underhand And Dishonest?
I have just wasted over an hour trying to redeem Barclaycard Goldfish points. No information was available on the website and I was pushed from pillar to post by phone. I was assured by phone that I would be able to access this information. I tried again online but no luck. I wasted a similar amount of time last month, when attempting to access my account online. My attempt to log in was denied. On the telephone I was informed that they have no information that would indicate I am registered with them for an online Goldfish account. This is a mystery as I have been with Goldfish for many years before Barclaycard apparently commenced dismantling the operation. As such I have been registered and able to access my Goldfish account online for many years. When attempting to discuss this on the phone I am met by high calibre smoke-screening.
It seems to me that Barclaycard are attempting to extract themselves from their Goldfish obligations by driving current members away.

This Card Used To Be Good Before Barclays Took It
This card used to be good before Barclays took it over, since then I have had lots of trouble when trying to use it to book flights, keeps getting blocked then you have to ring their call centre which is in India spend about half an hour answering silly questions, getting card reset and then it still does not work. Lost my flight because of this. Thanks a lot. Will now get a different card.

I Got My Goldfish Card When It Was First Launched
I got my Goldfish card when it was first launched (and you got money off your gas bill with it), it was always a great card with fabulous customer service and a good reward scheme... enter Barclays...reward scheme is a shadow of its former self and the points next to worthless...customer service is awful and after 13-15 years without ever having a late payment penalty, I get 3 (plus interest)in under 12 months - all due to their miss-handling of the payments (one even from following their own advice about how swiftly on-line payments would clear from my bank to their coffers!)
I am clearing the last of my points and changing my card!

I Redeem Points Last Month By Automated Phone Line
I redeem points last month by automated phone line at call centre. Not found on website now. Not impressed also the terms show points only valid for 3 years now before cancelled on a 3 year rolling basis.

Have Had My Goldfish For Years Without Any Problem
Have had my goldfish for years without any problems. I pay off in full each month and have always been impressed with the quantity of top name retailers involved in the reward scheme. Since their takeover by barclays it has gone downhill. The only way to find out about the partners is by phone, and now they say I have to use double the points to get my £10 voucher...... I think not, shopping around for another reward card as we speak, but there are not that many out there unless you want airmiles! I used to rave about my goldfish card, now it's turned to ranting!! I would also give a zero for value for money if the option were there. Have not had to phone customer service so am unable to comment on that point.

couldt agree more with the recent comments. Just been to barclay card site and struggled to find information on the rewards. i think they no longer want you to have the card. i have had the card since it was introduced and it has not been as good since barclays took it over.

Very Disappointed About Reduction In Points Value.
Very disappointed about reduction in points value.They clearly dont want us anymore.Is it just me or is it difficult to find out points redemption values on other cards, eg MBNA Reward card (the black one).It seems you have to apply before they spill the beans.

I Too Have Noticed The Halving In Value Of Rewards
I too have noticed the halving in value of rewards points. Very disappointed. My Goldfish used to be a real winner. Now it is outclassed on every front by companies that seem to want the business, unlike the current owner Barclays. Moving on to 'Amex Platinum cashback' with immediate effect.

Hello - Had The Card Years, Barclays Have Taken Ov
Hello - had the card years, Barclays have taken over and I get the impression they want me to leave, which is pretty disgraceful. I would like to add that I have Barclays shares and feel very worried that a million customers could be leaving as a result of their indifference. Just got the 3500 for £10 pounds letter and have spent 20 minutes trying to find Goldfish online and locate the current rewards partners, so far no joy. Sums the card up for me now really.
I found this review very helpful because...it sums up my own views! I can not believe that Barclays can double the number of points required for a £10 voucher. They obviously want to close the Goldfish card down. Whats the point of using this card above all the others, if the reward is so small? I have had this card for more years than I can remember and used it for the reward vouchers. I have phoned Barclaycard and even their helpline doesnot know how and why they have done it. By the way, dont use to 0844 811 9111 number they have given for enquiries, that will cost you, use 0800 0282360 let them pay for the call!!!!!!!! I will be redeeming my points and cutting this card up, perhaps I will send the pieces to the Chairman!!!!!
