Card Not Honoured
I was given a £50 3V Visa card as a present. There is no purchase or expiry date on it. Yet when I just came to redeem it, it's saying it's no longer valid as the maximum of 12 months since purchase has passed.
Having no purchase or expiry date on it means I have no way of knowing when to use it by. I feel totally cheated and ripped off as I have now lost the entire value of the card.

Drama To Call This Company

Absolute Disgrace Do Not Buy These
Bought 2 £25 cards for my wife's birthday. What a massive mistake. VERY difficult to use and when at the checkout on line the shop would not accept the number. For some reason 2 visa accounts were created so we had to transfer between them - cost £1.75. As the visa number wasn't accepted we decided to transfer to our bank. Cost - £3.50. So basically I spent £50 and ended up with £44.75. What a total swizz.
Would have given it no stars if I could.

It Is Accepted By Amazon
This card is accepted by Amazon as long as it's for the correct amount or under. The problem is the fees associated with them, I got two £25 of them for a present and the activation fee is £2 per card so already this £50 has become £46, there is also a £2 per month fee if it's not used so I bought two £23 Amazon gift cards and added them to my account, will not be looking out for these cards to buy as presents myself!
Stay clear and buy actual gift cards rather than these...

Not Accepted By Amazon
I purchased a 3vprepaid visa card in order to purchase books from Amazon, this card was refused by Amazon and now I have a card that I cannot get a refund of my £25. this is a rip off for shoppers.

Poor Value Due To Punitive Limiting Conditions.
These cards can be purchased at face value and be given as gifts for use as payment at Visa participating outlets. I received one to the value of £30.
The card was supplied in a separate "carrier" paper wallet and required activation on the 3v prepaid website to enable usage. However, it became apparent that a plethora of conditions and provisions is applicable to the card.
Examples are:
The card value needs to be used within twelve months
If it is wished to redeem the cash value of the card rather than make a purchase within the 12 months, a redemption fee of £3.50 will be charged
An account maintenance fee of £2 per month is deducted from the balance from the third month after purchase, which reduces the balance available if not used.
If it is wished to transfer the sum to another 3v card, a fee of £1.75 will be deducted from the balance
These conditions are not shown on the card, but on the "carrier" and the website.
In my case, I unfortunately mislaid and forgot the card and carrier (with the conditions) after activation. The card without "carrier" was found after the 12 month period had expired. During this period, the conditions were not evident until attempting to make use of the gift card, when I found that it no longer had any value. Also no "reminding" communication was received from the card supplier during this period. In effect the issuer had funded their fees from my gift!
This subject was taken up with the supplier who can only be contacted by e-mail. Although their responses were prompt my claims were strongly resisted.
Additionally, many months later I found that the supplier was still holding my details on their database. This was in spite of me not having been able to take advantage of the gift card and also having a zero balance as mentioned above. It required a duplicate formal request for them to to remove my information, which has now been confirmed.
It would appear that the supplier of these cards not only benefits from their initial purchase value, but also the premium of charges relating to their non-use. I feel this is totally disproportionate
Following my experiences, I certainly would not give these cards as gifts due to the limiting conditions and potential charges potentially diminishing the value of the gift.
