Worst Ever

Had an accident in December 2014 not my fault someone drove into the back of me. Mini arrange quick repair with bmw. Other driver not happy that repair done so quickly and the cost. Mini eventually took to small claims court which I won 10 weeks later still not sorted as their solicitor has not sent them the cheque. 14 months after non fault accident I still have a fault accident showing on my policy. Unable to insure my kids to drive my car as mini quote £7000 plus. Can't leave them as I have a fault accident and other insurance companies won't accept that the accident wasn't my fault.

Solicitor saying they have sent the money than they own up saying they haven't. Next thing the cheque gets lost in the post.

Have Been With Mini Insurance For 2 Years But My R

Have been with Mini Insurance for 2 years but my renewal arrived today and they are asking for over £400 - It has gone up since last year, though I have made no claims.

Went on a comparison website and quotes are coming up between £97 - £150 for the same cover.

How on earth can they justify this amount? To be honest I would have gone with their quote if it was £100 or so more but certainly will not be going with them again. I did call them but they couldn't do anything with the price and were very unhelpful.

I Had Mini Insurance For Several Years But Left Th

I had MINI insurance for several years but left them after a ridiculous renewal quote came in. A year later I bought a new MINI and the insurance was back down to a sensible price so I went back. Big mistake.

A year into my new policy a young lady who was lost and confused decided to park her car in the side of mine. Initially Mini were great and arranged an immediate repair and a courtesy car.

When I went to pick up my mini I found that the rest of my car (that was previously perfect) was now covered in scratches. The repairer try to suggest that I just didn't notice them before but when I wouldn't give in reluctantly offered to polished them out. So now I have thousands of tiny swirls all over my car, rather than the tens of deep scratches it had before. Not exactly "showroom condition"

I sent my claim to MINI and received a call to say "we agree with you and will be recovering the full amount, and will investigate the poor repair job"

time went by and MINI then decided that a 50/50 split might be an easy solution, but gave no explanation of why. I wrote back and said I didn't accept this as it was 100% the other drivers faults.

Mini didn't respond, solicitors letters start arriving from the other insurer following lack of response form Mini and still no news on the poor repair job.

So to summarise, when you really need them they do an absolutely terrible job of standing up to the other insurer, the staff are weak and lazy and do not represent their customers at all. also the approved repairer made a complete mess of my car.

In my experience there are no positives to using MINI Insurance, they're not even the cheapest.

Rubbish! Waste Of Money At Renewal

Bought a new Mini last year, and as part of the deal on at the dealership i got a years free car insurance, which was with MINI Insurance.

Its coming up to the year mark now when i will have to renew and This company have been totally rubbish. I went on their website where they quoted me £340, and then on compare the market where the prices were all around the £350 mark. Anyway i rang MINI and the man said to renew my car insurance it would be £735 !!! When i asked him why so much when on his company website it was £340, he said he didn't have access to the the internet quote and said the price was £735. When i asked him why he started babbling and blamed the NHS?!? I had no idea what he was going on about and put the phone down. I have just rung again to see if they could match the other prices i have been given, and i spoke to another gormless minion (no pun intended) who told me they don't 'price match', when i pointed out there was a £400 difference between them and everyone else he said- well we offer more services..my reply..like what? A personal chauffeur. Phone down. What possible services can an insurance company offer be worth £395? It seems like they give you your year free BUT then in the second year you are expected to pay for your free year. The gormless idiots on the phone are about as much use and helpful as that character on little Britain (computer says no)

When I had an icy road accident in January they dealt with my claim quickly and efficiently. They only use BMW repairs so the work carried out while expensive was top quality.

With the loss of my no-claims bonus this years premium has gone up by £1000 - unfortunatly I'll have to go with a lesser insurance company but will return to them next year if I can avoid a claim.

I bought a new Mini it came with 7 days free insurance, they weren't available on phone to buy the continuing cover, I complained no one replied. I applied online and canceled my existing cover, so I sent my last renewal as proof of no claims, weeks later they sent a threatening letter wanting more proof, they then checked with Churchill. They now (6 months later)want proof of my "partnership" status or they will cancel the policy although I have never in my life made a claim they must have some "jobsworths" trying to justify their existence. Tesco, Sheilas wheels and Churchill have never sent any threatening letters, but it was cheaper.

Previously Insured Through Zurich, Brought A Mini

Previously insured through Zurich, brought a mini and was given 7 days free insurance, got a quote which knocked socks off other quotes/renewals. They insure any car not just minis. They're very competitively priced, had great customer service when making a claim and will be using them to insure my daughter for her first car especially after reading all the bad comments on cheap insurers such as admiral, elephant and diamond. You get what you pay for!

It Was A Refreshing Change For Me To Be Able To Sp

It was a refreshing change for me to be able to speak to the same person when contacting Mini Cover car insurance for queries about my policy. The cost of insurance was competitive compared to my previous insurers, who included Direct Line and More Than, who both have good reputations for value for money. Both of these insurers I previously dealt with were not as easy to deal with as Mini Cover.
