Company That Cheats Customers
When I bought the car insurance, they said if there was a problem, they would hire a similar car to the one I own,Now my car has been in an accident and they told me the VW ID5 can only hire Vauxhall Corsa

The Worse Experience Do Not Buy Vw Gap Insurance!!!
On 2020 I bought a VW Jetta 2020 at the Doral dealer in Miami FL. As not experienced car buyer the finance manager tricked me and charged me $1,000 dollars on a document I signed , without knowledge I purchased a Gap insurance which I didn’t need because I had put a very large down payment.
Now in 2022 I totaled the vehicle and there was not need to use the Gap insurance because of the large down payment I made at the beginning. it’s been two months trying to collect the proration refund of the funds originally paid for my policy. This company is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE!!! I will never recommend Anyone TO BUY a VEHICLE at the Doral Volkswagen or buy their insurance. I can’t imagine if this is just to pay for the remaining balance on my policy, how will they be in the event of an actual large claim? Again! be careful.

Shocking Service
I've been with VW for years and every year we try to find a compromise on the premium but still pay more than if i was to switch. I've just called and the guy gave me a quote of £20 less than what they had originally quoted me. How rude, offensive and time wasting. I spent ages on the phone waiting to speak to somebody and that's what i get. They clearly dont need customers so i' m happy to go with another company. Loyalty counts for nothing
Didnt Inform Me Of Third Party Claim Against My Insurance
Accepted free one year's insurance on purchase of new Polo. In March 2017 I reported an incident which had happened involving another driver on a mini roundabout in rush hour. The other driver was speeding. I didn't pursue a claim as the cost of repair to my car bumper was less than the excess. 6 months later, I have received an invitation to renew but on querying the price hike and loss of no claims discount, VW Insurers decide to now tell me that in July 201 - so 4 months after the accident they received a claim from the other driver, which still hasn't been settled. However, without informing me further they had deemed me to be at fault. They have not contacted me at any time about the third party claim and I still haven't been provided with any details. I am now in dispute with them about their handling of this matter which as a result I have lost several years of no claims. Disgraceful.

Do Not Use
Prior to buying my second new VW car I had 11 years HDD. I received free VW insurance but was not advised that VW have a maximum of 6 years NCD. I had an accident and VW knocked my NCD down to 3 years, effectively taking 8 years off my previous NCD. VW insurance is a total rip off and is only free if you don't make a claim! If you make a claim VW insurance effectively steals nearly all your previous NCD. Do NOT use this company!!!

'free Car Insurance'
I have just purchased a new 2016 VW Polo, delighted with the car.
Part of the offer for buying a new car was 'free insurance'. I was not informed by the sales person at VW in Dunfermline, that the free insurance excluded protecting your no claims bonuses and I have been denied the ability to pay an additional premium to protect my accrued no claims bonuses. I took out the insurance in good faith, only to be told of this clause at the time of arranging the insurance by phone. I think that this is an absolute disgrace and apparently the underwiters (which in this case are Allianz Insurance PLC) are very strict about this clause. It is clearly a ploy for you to not take out this insurance. Why would anyone choose not to protect their no claims bonuses? In my case this is 20+ years.
Buyers with VW with this offer beware, the offer is not as good as it may appear.

Renewal Price Shocking
Like another on this site I got a years free insurance with my Polo which according to their correspondence cost VW a total of £550 - for the brand new car. Fast forward a year later to renewal with the car having devalued and having another years NCB (7 in total) the renewal given was £2535. WHAT??? I had no claims or anything to warrant such a ridiculous price.
Clearly they don't want some people's business and therefore jack the price up a ridiculous amount at renewal. Went for AXA at £590 instead.
They are slow to answer the phones too.
Avoid if buying yourself.

Poor And Incompetent
There are various reasons for the slamming title on this review, to name a few:
1. They seem to think I've had a claim when I didn't. As a result my premiums shot up, I had to contact them to amend this. When I left they stated I had made a claim.....I hadn't!
2. As the above shows, they don't know what they are doing! You have to contact them at least 4 times to make sure they have their facts right.
3. They never call you back when they say they will.
4. I joined with 9 years no claims, when I left them two years later they stated I had 9 years no claims. I'm guessing Maths GCSE is not one of the recruitment factors. Oh yes, there was the claim that was never a claim that might have affected it!!
5. The website doesn't work, neither does their emergency number, so if you're going to have a crash, make sure you do it between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
6. If you leave Volkswagen and move to another car brand, your insurance premium is likely to double.
