Where to begin? We quickly took insurance out with this company as they were the cheapest and at the top of the list and all we needed was insurance to drive our first car home. First month they took 3 payments within 4 weeks apparently it's policy so no more was said. We then received a red alert, took it in our stride thought okay I'm a new driver I must've missed a sign somewhere. 6 months down the line we receive a second alert and a £137 charge with 20% charge on top for not paying up front. They are trying to say we have exceeded a 30mph speed limit by doing 45mph. This road was a mountain road, no other signs to say it had dropped to a 30 from 60. No speed limit picked up on a sat nav, no signs to show yet a charge. When querying this the customer service team were beyond rude. They have requested we prove it and when we ask for evidence they sneakily shrug it off. Since then we have had another letter to say we are expected to exceed our mileage and have calculated we need to add another 9000 miles to the policy and pay £600. The company are definitely a joke, they target young people to try and rinse them of money. Stay well away.

Oyd Is A Joke. So Shocking It’s Unreal.
OYD is so shocking it’s unreal. I’ve had nothing but problems with them! It all started out pretty well but about 3 weeks into my insurance I had an accident. I had to get a new car and change my car on my policy. They sent me out a new wingman which arrived but it stopped tracking my journeys. I phoned up numerous times and they eventually sent me out another wingman. This one didn’t work at all!! I phoned up again and they said I had to delete the app and then re-install it. That didn’t work so they said they’ll send out yet another wingman. My wingman did not arrive and I phoned again and again. I sent loads of emails and still no wingman. Eventually I received a letter saying my insurance would be cancelled as no journeys were being tracked. I phoned up again and said no journeys were being tracked because I was still waiting for another wingman to arrive. I said I didn’t want anything to happen to my policy as I’ve done nothing wrong and I asked him to make a note on my insurance saying I had phoned up and to make sure my policy did not get cancelled. About a week later I received a letter saying my policy had been cancelled 3 days earlier meaning I HAD BEEN DRIVING MY CAR FOR 3 DAYS WITH NO VALID INSURANCE. I had no emails or calls regarding my policy being cancelled. I phoned up straight away and my mum took over the phone call. We were absolutely FURIOUS. The guy that we spoke to on the phone said they had absolutely no record of me contacting them. I stated I had all the calls logged on my phone, every single email printed out and I even had the names of the people I had spoken to. We were on the phone to them for over an hour and a half. Eventually they said it was their error and that they would re-instate my policy but it wouldn’t be until Tuesday as it was bank holiday weekend. (I phoned on the Friday). My mum stated this wasn’t acceptable as I needed my car for work and asked to speak to someone more senior. After being on hold for yet another period of time the man came back saying they would speak to the underwriters to get it re-instated. So yet again on hold for another period of time. Eventually my policy was re-I stated. A month or so down the line, despite having emailed AGAIN, STILL NO WINGMAN. Resulting in another phone call this morning. Again requesting a wingman and for my insurance not to be cancelled again. To be fair the person I dealt with who we spoke to was extremely apologetic and has re-ordered a wingman and has updated my file with notes that we have been in contact, we will see?
Also about 3 weeks ago my car broke down, I phoned OYD as I have breakdown cover, they gave me a number to phone for assitance. When I phoned the number they had given me, I was told I was not covered meaning I was stranded alone at night (a 19 year old female). Luckily my local garage came out to assist. included in this mornings phone call to the person I dealt with, he confirmed I have breakdown cover which I already knew and has given me a different number to ring in case of breakdown. This company is a joke! I would never use this company again and would never advise anyone to. I am looking into further action.

Takes ages to get an answer, horrible service. Took long enough to get up and running then after wards I gave them all information they asked for. No other response from them never asked for anything else then just sent a letter threatening to cancel insurance as I never sent them what they asked for. I sat on the phone and went over all correspondence I had with them to find I was right they never asked me what they were suggesting they did. No apologies, the staff were all rude on the phone. No one willing to accept blame. Quote I was giving was far less then what I ended up paying.

I was with this company for about 1 month and i was unfortunately in a car crash, after letting the insurers know i was completely left in the dark with every piece of information! I was unable to recieve a courtesy car for more than 1 week only to be told that i had to go through a rent a car because the insurance had no idea how to find a courtesy car in my area!! Then recieved no information on what was happening with liability for the crash kept getting told "we will phone you" never got a phonecall for 7 months until i phoned them and they said they are going for 100% which is what it should of been and they decided to accept 50/50 due to the fact the other insurance were not cooperating and never replying to them! Awful experience, never ever use! You will regret it. I got treated with so much bad customer service!!!

I have been trying to sort out insurance for almost 2 hours. I get through to someone and was told that I will receive a phone call back before they close as all the staff are busy they have now closed and still not received a phone call but all I need to do is make a payment that's it
Absolute abhorrent company. The quickest money making company. I was sent a 'wingman device' to monitor my driving along with having to download a 'smart app' This turned out to be not so 'smart' after all. I have an automatic vehicle so naturally the breaking and acceleration is entirely different due to the fact the gears change themselves. In a nutshell this company uses a method which is computerised and in no way shape or form a true reflection of a persons ability to drive nor a fair judge. I have been charged in total £153.56 for 11 days worth of insurance. The worst customer service I have ever received, their employees have no idea of the terms and conditions set out within the contract that they also agree to at the point of sale and also within cancellation events. I gladly cancelled my policy and will be taking this matter to the ombudsman.

AWFUL. No value for your money, poor customer service with rude staff and long annoying hold tones which they charge for. Extra charges which are enforced upon you, just stay clear even if they seem the cheapest.

I had my doubter insured with them and A direct debit failed to go out so I phones them the next day to pay and was told I had to phone a company called close brothers to make the payment this was on the Monday there open 9-5 and closed week ends so I phoned on my lunch break I was on hold for over half a hour no answer they cost 7p a minute same on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday then Thursday knight I get home to a email telling me her insurance was cancelled and had to pay the missed payment so I phones only young drivers ( NOT )clos brothers and was told they would take the payment there and then I asked if they would of taken the payment on Monday and was told yes so ive spent over 4 dinner brakes and £10 in calls for nothing no apology her insurance is cancelled and she has a bad mark on her name which effects her quotes and makes it more expensive for her because of the cancelation they might be cheap but its not worth it d not use them

I am up for renewal and I have found a cheaper insurance company to go with, tried to purchase insurance and apparently I have made a claim back in May. This was not the case. I rang them to inform(just to inform them nothing else) my insurance company of what happened (they are claiming it is my fault) however no one has claimed any money on either side but yet I now don't have my year claims, which makes my insurance extremely more expensive. Tried to call the team to talk to them that i didn't claim and i was mid way through talking and the woman hung up on me. Disgusting customer service. I am thinking of talking to my lawyer about this.

This service is absolutely shocking my policy was cancelled due to a mistake on there behalf and they did not want to accept any responsibility for this this is not how you treat well paying customers.
I'm afraid I have to agree.i was told that ivonly had to do 200miles on there app then 2 days into policy it went upbto 250 and now they have told me that I have to use the app all the time.they have given me 7 days notice to get the app again and use it.but unfortunately my fone broke and I bought a fine whic apparently it is compatible with.but nowhere on there site do they say what fones its compatible with and now they expect me tovgo buy a new fone to use there app.absolutely ridiculous.so now I wont be getting my deposit back and when I get a new policy (certainly not with these) I've to start my no claims again.
