Absolute Rubbis
Absolute rubbish. Every call goes to overflow call centre who take a message and say someone will call you back but no one ever does. I wanted a new quote as I was moving home but no one called back so I suppose they don’t want the extra business. I called to cancel and 2 days on I’m still awaiting a call back. I wonder if ever we had to claim how we would ever manage to talk to someone to process a claim. Definitely never touch this company ever again.

Third Party Finance
asda ? after purchasing online and agreeing to pay monthly I was expecting an asda direct debit etc ..no they use a company called premium credit a third party .so I cancelled after 2 days with asda who said fine it's in my 14 day cooling off period ..then like other reviews on here the premium threatening letter arrived .threatenING this and that .potential action against me etc etc .so I rang again to asda oh yes it's been canceled 4 days later another threatening letter from premium credit ..these people are so hard to get hold of aswell .not surprisingly as they don't want you to cancel ..anyway been a nightmare so avoid paying monthly ..don't know what there like if you paid in full .as the asda staff were ok
Unatainable
Like all insurance the first years quote is reasonable, then when my renewal came through it was much more, they had signed me up for it to continue however i tried on several occasions to cancel by phone but thet were having high volume of calls so i couldnt get through, so i had to after 4 attempts go into my bank to stop the first payment coming out. I realised this came out a few days later so i rang the company and after a half hour call was told i owe them £29 plus for cancelling they would not listen to me when i said i had tried and couldnt get through to cancel, its wrong when you cant get hold of the company to cancel and they were not helpful in fact they were very cocky and rude on the phone and said they would get someone to ring me back but didnt

Awful Service- Avoid This Service At All Costs
Terrible customer service. Signed up to ASDA home insurance and was promised relevant documents within 5 working days. They never arrived. Phoned again and was promised again that they would be sent out, they still hadn't arrived 2 weeks later. Then spoke to customer services who promised me they would be sent out recorded delivery and apologised for the original mess up and admitted they hadn't been sent out by the 2 previous employers. Alas I still await the documents. ASDA very willing to take your money but can't even send out a few pieces of paper. Avoid, avoid, avoid this company like the plague.

Appaulling Custome Service
Account details all set up wrong even though they were entered correctly online. 5 hours trying to get through to sort out. CLOSE Premium Finance were a nightmare, 0870 number and rude and inadequate staff, AVOID at all costs. Ended up being so annoyed cancelled policy but then couldn't get to speak to anyone to cancel. Got charged £35 for the priviledge of cancelling. All this for trying to actually pay for the policy! If they are a nightmare when you are trying to pay what would they be like when paying a claim!??

Dreadful Communication, Bullying And Wholly Incompetent.
ASDA home insurance have been a total and utter nightmare over sorting out the most straight forward and simplest of tasks. For home insurance they use a company called Premium credit who collect payments and they have bombarded me with bullying, nasty letters which keep arriving on my door step, despite ASDA informing me that the problem 'has been sorted'. I am cancelling my policy and going to another company that value my custom and treat me with some manners. My blood pressure has gone up and I dread opening the post now because of the above when I have done nothing wrong. It may be cheaper then other companies but it really is not worth the hassle.

Incompetent Handling, Poor Policy And Service
My personal experience took me through enquiring about making a claim against my existing home insurance policy and several months later discussing its renewal. It all started with an unnoticed minor leak in our kitchen boiler occasionally dripping onto the back of our kitchen work surface causing a degree of warping in it over time. We had the boiler insured with a well known utility company who promptly fixed it without fuss.
So onto Asda to enquire about claiming to replace the warped work surface, my first ever home insurance claim. I was told by Asda this would incur a £250 excess for 'water damage' plus £500 buildings excess. When I questioned if a work surface was part of the building they insisted it was !. That opens a real can of worms and concerns for me, think about it, there is a very grey line between buildings and contents now !.
So I dropped my enquiry, took it no further with Asda and left it at that, or so I thought !. Some three months later Asda send me a letter stating they cannot offer me renewal unless I call them, so I call them. The nice lady told me they need further details about my 'windows', so I explained it was boiler / kitchen work surface issue nothing to do with windows, she took details and asked a lot of questions because she had no details. She then explained she could not offer renewal because it had to be passed onto the referral team for review. At that point I told the nice lady that unfortunately has a job dealing with Asda Insurance to forget it and that I had no confidence in the companies ability to handle a claim efficiently . Ten minutes later I had insurance much much cheaper with a little red telephone with wheels.
As a result, I believe Asda offer poor customer service and a policy that is obviously poor value for money considering the above.

Asda Home Insurance Are Dreadful
Absolutely rubbish, DO NOT USE this utter shower and sorry excuse for a company.
Rude people, bad ustomer service, being passed from pillar to post. Claims messed aruond with, appointments cancelled with half an hours notice and no explanation.
Very very bad, would not reccomend to anyone. Asda are just they name, they pass you on to a million different people and don't deal with anything themselves. Have told them my name has changed about 10 times now and they still won't speak to me under my new married name.
Totally ridiculous poor excuse for an insurers.
AVOID!

A Useless Policy Not Even Worth The Paper It Is Pr
A useless policy not even worth the paper it is printed on. Customer services who cant answer questions at weekends because all the departments are closed. Third party providers who seemed to be clueless in their area of expertise. Call backs that never come and a national rate help line, no time lines to rectify issues and no formal notification. Thankfully I havent had to test this policy to the full but I hold no faith in it !
I will be switching to a national insurance provider, whilst on the surface they look more expensive they have plenty of substance.
DO NOT USE ASDA my rating is 0/5 !!
