The Worst Pet Insurance Company

This pet insurance company is the worst imaginable. They will change your policy and make it look like the change is for the better when actually what they are doing is significantly reducing your coverage. They have not once, NOT 1 SINGLE TIME, paid even one of our claims. They have denied all of them. On more than one occasion they have left our vet office, a small independent office, hanging for at least 8-12 weeks while it took RSPCA all that time just to deny the claims. How many animals have to die because of insurance like RSPCA insurance??? Bad, bad, bad people.

Waste Of Space

DO NOT waste your time donating to this uncaring organisation who cynically beg for money and then refuse to help animals in distress due to their "threshold limits".

Three times now the RSPCA have failed to investigate genuine cases of dog and marmoset neglect and cruelty in our local area.

We had a standing order made out to this organisation which was substantial - we have today cancelled it.

They are begging under false pretences and only seem wiling to act if they have a celebrity connected to the case.

A thoroughly reprehensible organisation who do not deserve the amount of funding which the public unwittingly give to them.

They Never Contact You

After a bit of hassle last year, they started to settle the claim for arthritis.

However, removal of a cyst from neck and dealing with heart condition not sorted after nearly 8 months. Keep ringing and writing. Lately said they had not got the claims. Strange as they had to sign for delivery and had paid the arthritis claim that was with the other claims. Spoke to them again on a Saturday two weeks ago and they promised to ring the vet on either the Monday or Tuesday and get details faxed to them to sort. They never rang. Last weekend they said sorry but we were busy on those days and must have missed it! So, last weekend they told me they would flag my case for a manager call back on the following Monday or Tuesday. Huh, you guessed it, no bloody call back. Now allegedly it will escalate to the complaints department. WHY? You owe my vet over £600 and I am now threatened that payment must be made within 7 days to the vet. Please do not reply with the insurers are a third party. My contract was with the RSPCA who have let us down completely

Rspca Dog Insurance - Very Poor

We have 2 ex rspca rescue dogs, both of which we took on with substantial problems from being ill treated by their first owners. One of them came to us with a sizeable lump on her leg, which may have been caused by it being broken and then left to reset while she was kept in a shed for 2 years.

We have had her for about 7 years, during which the entire time she has been insured with RSPCA and it has not caused her a problem. She is now being lame on another leg and having gone to our vets and got a prescription for her, RSPCA are declining our insurance claim, stating there was an indication of a condition prior to our policy. They took an awful long time to bother to inform us of this and they are also quoting an X ray that reveals the condition, which is remarkable, as she has never been X rayed! Despite the insurance cover, she has never received treatment (or needed it) prior to this date. We are pursuing the claim with the FSA, but in the meantime we are paying for the medicine whilst the RSPCA insurance just try and worm their way out of paying like any other company.

Don't get put of the RSPCA, they do not actually run this insurances the company uses their name and gives them 20% of the premium. But ultimately there to make money. Plus, if your pet had pre-existing conditions, dont expect them too be covered.

Terrible Company On A Par With Telstra Customer Service

I agree with every bad review, they are one the most infruriating companies to deal with, never advise on claim outcomes but happy to advise you when they couldn't get their payment.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND ADVISE ANYONE WITH AN ANIMAL TO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Any Excuse To Not Pay!!

After using every excuse to NOT pay my claims I canceled my pet insurance for both my dogs.

I sent a Registered letter to cancel my policies but they still tried to take a payment out of my account, not being stupid I had already called the bank to stop payment, so they missed out of there last squeeze of cash. Finally, RSPCA PET INSURANCE sent me letters of conformation of Cancelation, that is 3 lines said that, the rest was paragraphs of a lecture on how I was putting my pets in jeopardy not having insurance!

News guys, insurance only works when your insurance company intends to pay fair claims! So you see I was never really insured.

STAY AWAY FROM HIS MOB.

If you just ring up the insurance to cancel you would of saved yourself a lot of

Time and hassle, imagine how many letters a company like this will get, RSPCA is done by BDML and in this office they do ASDA, ESure, RSPCA, Petwise, Sainsburys, LV, money pages, debehams, pets at home, Aviva, AA, John Lewis, Argos, protect your bubble, very, little woods, and many more

It's all the same company, so imagine now how many letters they will get a day and why there will be a back log to deal with your letters.

Just ring up next time...

What A Waste Of Time And Money!

I've made three claims now and received nothing back!! Apparently an ulser caused by a scratched eyeball is classed as an illness rather than and accident ???!!! A waste of time for the small stuff. Only get if you think your pet is likely to be involved in some major accident ....... However I'm sure they will find a way of getting out of most of it!!

Under No Circumstances Get This Insurance

The worst customer service ever. Taking forever to process a claim, yet quick to take your money, even after your pet is deceased. They won't tell you up front what you are covered for, unless you pay a non-refundable fee. Yes, people, you will continue to pay for your pet after they have passed away & don't expect any sense of condolence or sympathy for your loss. Do not be fooled by the link with RSPCA, they only car about their bottom line & not you or your pet!!

Average hold time + 30 min to speak to claim officeer

Claim Staff are often rude and not very helpfull

RSPCA (Pet Sure uis the retaile) underwritten by Hollard, has VERY strict outline of what is an accident. This description is so narrow, that if a dog has something happen to them Like getting knocked unconsious but a falling object. THEN THEY WILL NOT PAY, as Hollard (RSPCA) define it as an illness.

If you attemt to use the Hollard underwited claim dispute form, then you will not hear from them at all, for at least 20 days.

DO NOT USE RSPCA PET INSURANCE OR ANY PET INSURANCE UNDERWITTEN BY HOLLARD.

Pet Plan is recomended by vets (and from what others tell me has a very good payment record) They are underwritten by Alianz.
